The minute you set foot on a foreign land, you are more or less at the mercy of that country.

anyways..i'm waiting to see some of the new Imprezas on the road. A colleague of mine had been considering it.Will talk to him tomorrow and see whats happening to those plans.

Want to sponsor him?

IBNLive.com > Rallyist Naren set to make a mark on world stage : Car Rally, Naren Kumar, Asia Pacific Rally
Cant seem to find the news article from the papers..
Anybody wants to sponsor him?

Naren began rallying in 1992 and has conquered the domestic circuit. He is now looking forward to making it big in the international arena.

"We already have an offer from Subaru World Rally Team to be a part of the World Rally Championship for 2008 but there are two issues - sponsorship and I feel it's too early too jump into a world rally car. I want to do another year of Asia Pacific," he says.

And has the first name, which is almost the same as that of India's lobe Formula One driver, brought him any extra luck?

"It just seems that it's a coincidence that Narain Karthikeyan and I share the first name," he adds.

rangaraj i dont think he should have problems with getting sponsers to back him up. kingfisher, jk tyres, redbull all would be interested in haveing their name assosiated with him

You are right, speedy. I dont think sponsorship would be an issue.
Also, aren't both Naren & Narain from Coimbatore?

The car is just amazing, simply amazing.
since everybody is looking at the concept
here are images of the already launched car shown in the auto show 2007

The engines carry over with few changes from last year. The base Impreza has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 170 hp and 170 pounds-feet of torque. The WRX gets a turbocharged version with 224 hp and 226 pounds-feet of torque; Subaru says the torque is now available across a wider rpm range, which means the engine won't need quite as much revving to make its power.

A five-speed manual transmission is standard. A four-speed automatic with a manual-shift mode is optional.

LOVELY

the subaru impreza concept was just the beginning , but who thought the original would look even better, i am loving it!

...!
they've been posted earlier xinome. I read a few reviews of this model the WRX i mean and not the STi. THe wrx it seems is supposed to be really mellowed down as far as response goes. There's nothing to it that gives a kick while driving it like the older one.
I'm sure that won't be the case with the full blown STi it'll definitely be as hot as the last one as far as performance/driving go
looks?! i really dont care coz i love hot hatches!

Xinome, those are pics of the WRX. Not the STI. I bet the STI will look much better than the WRX trim.

ANYTIME. Lowered better alloys. 6-speed transmission, bigger turbo charger more horespower stiffer suspension, diff-setup options better seats. Oh it'll be amazing.
