Guys...permit me to add my thoughts to this thread as SUV's are close to my heart.

I am surprised in then pages on this topic nobody has listed the FJ Cruiser...by far one of the mosr interesting and capable SUV'as out there today.

My list would read as below.

1.Toyota FJ40 - the original Land cruiser
2.Land Cruiser LC 70 SWB
3.FJ Cruiser
4 Lambo LM 002
5 Merc G Wagon SWB
6. Hummer H3 V8
7. Land Rover Defender
8 Nissan Patrol Y61

Now these are real SUV's excellent on road and off road capabilities.

The rest like the Escalade, the Audis the BMW's are all just faux SUV's good for looks and posibg around.

Real SUV fans will appreciate what I am saying here

LOL...here is someone who sees eye to eye with me on what a real SUV is.

I was going to include the Willys / Ford MB / GPW in my list but let them pass as htey are probably the ones that spawned the SUV.

The Trooper is a bit underpowered for my tastes

Wasif Bhai.

One FJ was available in Hyderabad an year back, it was with a dealer @Mehndipatnam.The heart of the vehicle was replaced with a Peugot and many of the original parts were missing.

Oh no,how could i forget to add the FJcruiser in my list that resmbles the FJ40 that my dad just loves.
BTW, the Landcruiser name in my list includes all the vehicles that carried the name, from the FJ40,60series,100 series and my current fav, the 70 series.
Agreed about the Beemers and Audis kinda SUV, what's the logic of a porsche cayenne or Q7 v12TDI, beats me.
