2008 Lamborghini Reventon

Straightline - 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show: Lamborghini Reventon revealed

300% premium over the Murci for a beefed up Murci

It is difficult to form an impression at this point without much performance data. But what do you guys think? Yay or Nay?

I don't think so!
The original Murcielago (or LP640, now?) looks much better. 20 horses - I can give a miss.
The Reventon does stress on it's "hyper-car" status though.

tsxei its definately a NAY for me. $700,000 extra for 20bhp more is not worth it even if it garuntees exclusivity of only haveing 20 cars slated for 2008.
the car is too futureistic. the front looks incomplete. the side mould or vent that sticks out looks out of place, if it were a little less petrudeing out it would have looked better. right now it looks like its in your face. the rear is a little bearable, but again the part around the tail lights looks odd.
the only thing i love of the car is the engine glass or whatever the material used. the step formation is awsome. the wheel design of the car i hate just cant stand it looks. lamborghini could have definately done better.
i would rather get myself a marcillago or the LP640 and have it tuned by hamann to get extra horses. it would still workout cheaper and the car would look much better.

I would say Nay!!
300% premium over the LP640?! and only 20 horses more. I think they are just gunning for exclusivity due to small numbers like a limited edition, so you pay more to prove that you're richer than the rest.
True, with carbon fibre and other weight reducing stuff even a meagre 20 horses can make a good deal of difference but then such a high premium? To be brutally honest I dont even like its looks. It looks like a DC version of some car (no offence to DC). The wheels look tacky and the front light cluster and the rear..ugh. Looks like lambo conducted a car designing competition for amateurs, this design looks straight out of such a competition. Sorry Nay Nay Nay!!

I only liked the black rims. Apart from that the stock Murcielago looks much better. Doesnt work for me.

Guys come-on ...in todays world for exclusivity alone I think its definitely worth it. Only 20 are being made and they've all been sold already.

Plus the interior is absolutely to die for. Its got stealthy looks with a lamborghini badge, I like it but not for a million dollars for what it has to offer and only 20 extra horses over the murcielago I'm pretty sure its got more to it. But again for exclusivity, the pricing I think is pretty ok.

You guys hang on till the 2 1/2 million dollar pagani zonda rolls out. Its on its way btw.

The Reventon kinda looks like the Batmobile for some reason.

If I wanted exclusivity Id rather just get custom rims and maybe invest the rest in a classic.

IMHO I found the looks of the car a bit better than the LP640 it's based on, but then again, don't know how it'll look on the road. A bit too futuristic I say and as some fellow BHPians have said "definitely" the next Batmobile though the one in Batman Begins was awesome! Wish I could get a test drive of the Reventon!

Not worth it. And hasn't this been posted before?

It would be really cool if someone bought just the ECU and the dash and plugged it into their regular old LP640.
