The rear really seems like serious business.

The 911 Turbo for me.
You mean the GTR dosent have heritage. You surely know it has.

Now, dosent the 911 turbo (126k usd) and R8 (118k usd) cost almost 75% more than the GTR (70k usd). When we compare brand value and snob value, the pricing parameters also come into play.
Compare the GTR to the M3, cheaper 911s and the likes and then we have the real picture.

Compared to the 911?

Keep in mind that the GT-R is brand new and therefore everyone is excited about it. The same thing happened with the R8 when it was out. The 911 however has stood the test of time.

IMO the GT-R is a bit too geeky but then thats just me.

GTR has its own heritage in the form of Skyline GTR over all these years. The R32, R33, R34 are the most sought after cars today anywhere in the world.

Please guys it's not fair to compare the hstory of the 911 to that of the skyline. the 911 has a much more illustrious history than the GTR...

the GTR has a history and heritage that is relatively more accessible to the common man.
there is no snob value there. it does its job without much fanfare.

porsche is a brilliant car, but refusing to acknowledge greatness(GTR) because it doesnt have a badge?

why is it that european cars are given 1st preference?
is it because we're biased? colonial past? inferiority complex?
the japanese are better, and some day we(indians) will be better than them.

if that doesnt work, we'll just buy them out
