Ferrari California on the road!

Ferrari was filming a commercial for the new upcoming 2009-10 Ferrari California in San Francisco, California. Your thoughts... you like the way it looks??

Something not right. Just doesn't look like a Ferrari should. More like a well executed kit car! Perhaps the pictures are not doing justice. The car looks too small and narrow for a Ferrari in the pictures. Ferraris are traditionally low and wide and squat. I don't know, these pictures aren't doing it justice! The old California was unbelievably beautiful, this is ugly in comparison.

This looks more like a hodge podge of the Maranello and the 460 spider. More like a cut and past effort. But like I said perhaps these pictures aren't giving the right perspective.

I agree with you. To me it looks more like its built on the lines of the Lotus Elise or so.

But the color is cool and overall looks are pretty good but certainly off the mark for a Ferrari. Could have been designed better IMO.

The front resembles the Maserati Gran Turismo to some extent.

I feel that over the years, Ferraris have been getting a lot of unnecessary lines and curves over their surfaces. They go out of the box but it does not always help. The 612, 599 have grown for their looks, they feel quite acceptable. Some how, this doesnt. I doubt if this will really make place in the good looking Ferraris parking lot.

Looks utter rubbish. Looks very Mazda'ish and the front 3 quarter shot makes it look like a Fiat coupe. As someone else said the headlights look a bit like an Ellise. All in all I hardly see any Ferrari in it.

Agree with Stratos. The front end looks like a cross between a Lotus Elise and a Ferrari 612. The rear looks confused unlike the 612s crafted behind. Also, that shade of blue does not help matters. It would look much better in scarlet red or black.

Have a look at a 612 in both blue and black, you will see my point.

Honestly, it looks like crap. No offense to Hyundai, but this should be a Hyundai. Maybe it will look better in different colors, with different wheels?

It looks sad. The front is that bad actually, but the rear is quite pathetic.

Most new Ferraris suffer at the rear.

The rear side disappointed me to say the least and it did not look like a typical Ferrari.

Couldn't have put it better. A picture of the 456 would be in order:
