pure bred - no two ways about it.
think exclusive gentlemen's clubs, cut glass accents, fire light, leather reclining arm chairs, cigar smoke, malt whisky, race-horses, grouse shooting, country estates with liveried butlers and footmen, gentlemen racers, British Racing Green, aristocratic lineage and here you are, in Aston Martin country.
I ve always loved the Aston Martin and before that the earlier Lagonda - beautiful thouroughbred cars!
lovely!!
dream on I guess...

Traditionally, both these manufacturers cater to the same clientele.

Aston Martin One-77...rarest,costliest Aston!! awesome official pics!!

Aston Martin One-77's shape is pure Aston, taking all the right cues from its predecessors and forming them into a slightly elongated and exaggerated form. The massive front grille is an obvious resemblance to the current Aston martins, but the hood is much deeper than its Aston Martin DB9 and Vantage counterparts and benefits from four contoured strakes terminating into a set of air extractors. The creases that bisect the blacked-out headlamps and front fenders are pure aggression, and the vents aft of the front wheels ensure that the 700 hp V12 is kept cool at speed. Out back, Aston's signature rump is present and accounted for, but a new taillight design that evolves the automaker's current offerings, a rear diffuser and a center-exit exhaust are all elements that we expect to see on future modelsAston Martin's At It Again - The One-77-10290801astonmartinone77.jpg

I love the way how Aston Martin subtly evolves their design over different models over time.

Reason why they make the best looking and sounding cars on the planet.

the One-77 looks good no doubt, but somehow to me the Aston Martin design's gone a bit astray.

This one's penned by Marek Reichmann....yeah it looks more futuristic than the Fisker designed Astons but I like it...suits the pedigree of the car...it'll definitely stand out...a great well executed design

Aston Martin brought two mockups of the One-77 to Geneva. Between the full size styling model, and chassis and powertrain skeleton, we know have a pretty good idea of how the £1 million (about $1.4 at current rates) supercar will shape up.
The One-77 is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine (same from the DBS, DB9 and new V12 Vantage) that delivers 700 hp. With a projected weight of 1,500kg the One-77 should be very quick (Aston predicts a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds.) Aston also says the engine will be able to pull the car to a top speed beyond 200 mph.
The skeletal model showed off the full carbon fiber monocoque chassis, which is extremely lightweight and rigid. Like all Aston Martins, the One-77 will feature a front mid-mounted engine and the transmission mounted toward the rear of the car. What will be unique to the One-77 will be that the suspension will be mounted inboard to furter increase the weight to the ideal center of the car.

The only picture i remember seeing of the one-77 at Geneva was just half the car the, the other half covered by drapes.
But brillant pics, and the car looks great especially the carbon-fire engine subframe.

Sweet looking!! I notice that the rear end of the new models (the One-77 and the Ferrari 450) looks quite similar.
