Interiors look tempting.

When will they bring it to india, 2050????

This car if launched in India would make the competition stiffer.

OT: Why dont they bring Kei Cars to India???
I am sure they would sell like hot cakes. Plus to add on it a smaller engine translates into better fuel efficiency too and even then the power (a 54 PS normally aspirated 660cc engine or a turbocharged 660cc offering 64 PS) is sufficient IMHO

660 cc turbocharged engine, 64bhp.

The engine size is very similar to the Tata Nano's 624cc.

One possible outcome: Ritz and Astar continue to target the premium end with 1L and 1.2L K-series engines. Alto and WagonR are brought down by 30-50K with a smaller, proven 660cc engine from Japan.

A 2L Alto, and a 3L WagonR, both for mid-end specs: could be the killer combo that gives Suzuki/Maruti additional 250,000- 300,000 car sales an year. At these volumes, the engine will also be cheap to make in India.

The turbo version could be power a "sports" small hatch version of new Alto, if they keep the car light.

Why does the car in the first link remind me of the Ford fusion?

Suzuki Wagon R 2009.. Is this true!!!!!

Hi Guys,

Came across this link for suzuki wagon r 2009.

" 2009 Suzuki Wagon R "

Have any of you heard about this? Saw the same pic in wikipedia termed as the fourth generation wagon r. I also searched through suzuki's global website but did not get any product termed as wagon r.

" Suzuki Wagon R - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "

This sure looks great and has more space. If maruti brings this to India then will be great .

So if you all know of anything please share.....

Thanks

The new vehicle looks nice. Somehow that boxy-ness is absent with those flowing curves of the bonnet.

The interiors look very classy too. I see that the gear lever being integrated into the dash is becoming the way to go for most new cars launched now. The choice of engine(s) is something I'm looking forward to.

The car is not get big change in styling. Actually, the car keep styling theme from current car both inside out. The body is all new, evidence is at more slope c- pillar and logner wheelbase, expands and spacious interior length, the distance between the front and rear occupants.
Under the hood is latest generation of Suzuki’s develope R06A 660cc engine that is well proven in Suzuki Alto Eco.First 3 DOHC 52 ps / 6000 rpm torque 6.4 kg-m / 4000 fuel economy in JC08 mode fuel 28.8 in FF version and 27.8 in 4WD version .Second, 3 DOHC with turbochage 64 ps at 6000 rpm or 9.7 kg-m / 3000 rpm JC08 mode fuel consumption is 28.8 in FF version and 25.0 in 4WD version.Mate with reduction of friction CVT transmission. Car will exempt all vehicles in both the Japan’s eco-car tax reduction of car 2WD/4WD including turbo car.
The help achieved this such a frugal fuel economy. The car is fit with many high technology.First, energy regeneration system or Suzuki call “ENE-CHARGE (energy charge)” the car will charging the lithium-ion battery during deceleration and using electricity that is stored during the engine is turn off.The second is a new idling system , idling stop further evolution conventional. You can automatically stop the engine and less than or equal to 13km per hour. The 3rd technology is ECO-COOL
(Ecocool). Keep the room temperature comfortable even while the engine is stopped.
The new technology developed under the “Suzuki Green Technology” generic concept of developing “a new generation eco-car with number 1 fuel-efficientt in light vehicle”

This wagon looks good. It looks almost mini SUVish with at least the looks. It is definitely a visual appealer. The bonnet seems to have taken cues from Tata Storme

MAruti - Launch it in india at the earliest.

I wish they would put the gear lever on the dash and clear up the front floor space . It will be helpful in many ways, especially for parking close to the wall in a narrow street and getting out from the other door.

The gear box is cable operated anyway and should be doable.

Great, now they had to go ahead and copy Toyota. Looks pretty much like the Scion xB to me!
