This is the new CLS isnt it?? This must be a test car. Dude any one would do in your garage so long as you drive it down for us to drive

PS. Doesnt it remind you guys of the Accord at first glance see the side view

What the hell are Mercedes Benz thinking? In my opinion, this car looks horrid and unsubtle.
Suddenly, Bangle looks like a genius.

I must admit this car has definitely grown on me! Especially the side and rear view!
I just hope you arent thinking about buying one in green or red?!?!

eeeks! is mercedes tryin to outdo the weird headlamp designs of bmw? and the whole upper side section looks really tacky and very bad aesthetics. looks like a amateur-designed jap car on steroids. it's got none of the typical merc flair or character, if u ask me. dont do this mercedes.....plzzzzzz.

Its got none of the typical merc flair? what exactly do you think merc flair is? if you knew how well this car was recieved by the public ud understand why in such short a time period it turned from 'VISION CLS' to CLS!!

Once again i have no intentions to offend you but i jus had to speak up!!
And the headlamp which u think is wierd in fact has had one of the best responses for mercs since some time now....

Looks are but subjective, and I am really old-fashioned and conservative in my love for car-designs. I think that the front end of this CLS is downright ugly and would never be able to keep a car with these looks in my garage.

But then, I also prefer the W126 S Class to any generations that came out after that.

S350L, no doubt this will be a fine machine when it does make it into production, but I think you're outnumbered here as far as the looks go. That side pic does make it resemble an Accord, especially the doors. As far as the swooping rear goes, i'm not a fan of that either. But, as GTO said, looks are subjective, and i guess the world would be a boring place if everything looked the same!

BTW, i'm sure it would look a lot better if you let me drive it when u get yours!

looks are pretty subjective matters and what might appeal to one might be downright ugly to another.

like gto said, mercs for me have to be the older generations.......i just love the old-school designs of previous mercs and beemers. take any old car-mag where you have review of mercs, and they say it's built like a tank, hewn from a block of granite etc etc......for the matter, those generation mercs looked the part too, didnt they? those were the times when merc designs were so classy/elite, almost to the point of being aloof and cold. and merc was almost always priced way above comparable models from bmw 'coz MB prided on themselves being 'Engineered like no other car in the world' - remember the adline for MB?? nothing cud go wrong with mercs - those times are long gone, i guess.......and MB is fast becoming just another car-maker.

and hell, if the bangled 5 and 7-series can make it into production, why cant this new merc? there'll always be a clientele to buy even weird designs......tell me one thing dude, wud u buy this design if it were from chevy or toyota or somethin'?? most probably u wouldnt. just my 2 cents, as i told u, it's really personal opinions. cya.
