This is the design i ever liked of Hyundai. Its beautiful ,it creases and curves.Even in Dubai, while Nobdoy goes for a Hyundai , there are couple number of H-1's around. Hyundai should seriously think of getting this van to India. Definately Innova & Mahindra's new MUV will have a serious challenger.
These photos actually dont make much justice, you should seeit in real. Its a worth buy for a big family.
Absolutely, this vehicle is common sighting in Korea. I will post pic of Starex in few days. This is just starting of thread with some pics.

The most amazing part in South Korea is Hyundai Verna which is much admired in India is not at all visible in South Korea. I can see few Vernas but those are Accents.

@PhrozenFire: I am some 40 minutes away from Seoul. Its name is Suwon.

The Hyundai Verna in India is marketed in other countries as Accent itself. Its an Indian phenomenon to market new version of the same car as a totally new one as in the cases of Skoda Octavia as Laura, Mitsubishi Lancer as Cedia, Toyota Corolla as Altis (Corolla is sold in some countries as Altis).

If I remember it right, Ssangyong was the project started by Samsung in their ambition to become major car producer also, but this was later sold to Renault.

My observation in my last visit to S. Korea (back in 2003) is, 98% cars on the road are from Korean companies. I hardly noticed any Japanese or American car there. Exception was Merc and BMW.

SsangYong motors is not started by Samsung. It is an individual brand which was sold to Renult-Nissan.

Samsung has started its own brand under the name of Samsung Motors, later they had collaboration with Renault (during the global slowdown in 2001) and renamed it as SM Motors. Now they have cars SM520, SM3, SM5, SM7 etc.

If Ssangyong is not Samsung motors, then how is that all new Ssangyong sedans come with Nissan/Reanult mechanicals ?? Even Daewoo owned Ssangyong went it went bankrupt.

I doubt the details found on Wilkipedia is contradicting with its own information, if you check Ssangyonh & Samsung motors.

Come om TBHPians , use your knowledge and help me with this ownership confusion

The Equus is a luxury Hyundai car equipped with V6 and V8 options. It was designed to compete against the luxury offerings from BMW and Mercedes.

The black coupe in the fourth pic,is it the Hyundau Tiburon??

Yes, the Tiburon is known as the Hyundai Coupe in some markets (must've taken them some time to come up with that brilliant name).

If you are talking of the black coupe, the fifth pic, it is the Hyundai Turbulence, a very apt name it seems to me, has been there for a long time now but still manages to look good.
