Some folks over in japan seem to have uncovered the designs for the 2012 Honda civic.
To the folks in South and south east asia the look will be very familiar as the front looks so much like the Honda city!!

I'll leave the judging of the design to you folks!

The front doesn't look like a Honda City at all! Infact the rear looks like a Jaguar XF from that angle.

i'd agree with you on this, at first glance the front does look a lot like the ANHC, especially at the angle of the drawing.

Its coming only in 2012? Hmm got another 3 more years for my civic to become obsolete.

Do they normally change Civic models once in 6 years or 4?

Looking at the pic , the length of the car clearly doesn't feel like it belongs to D-Segment. It looks more or less in the league of hpnda city. It can be the improvised european version of City . Looks cool but as some had spotted out , the rear end looks CCP of Jaguar XF . Front in fact looks like it went back on the design front from the current version.
I hope its just a rumour.

I think the Japs should do what they do best. Design engines.

For body designs, they should rope in the crazy Italians.

Its got the Indigo CS kinda boot, namesake that is. I think it is too early to predict whats on the cards, in 2012.

I like it, it's a great design for the price. Thanks for sharing! The Honda Civic always offers contemporary technology and designs for a fair price, which keeps customers coming back. I'm excited to see what the interior looks like, they always do an excellent job of interior design.

Umm, I don't like it.

The bad news is that Honda has a trend of putting their concept cars into production pretty much as-is, minus the crazy headlamps. ANHC concept anyone? Same thing with the Euro Civic with it's triangular exhausts, perspex grill and space ship door handles.

We'll know for sure when they introduce a prototype.

Somewhere it resembles VW Passat. But it is hard to belive they leak the concept drawings 3 years ahead of it's release.

Well does seem unlikely, but the pace of development of new cars is such that it takes tons of design time. Remember how the Ritz (splash in other places) was first showcased as a concept in 2006? they must have started the design process atleast 6 months to a year ahead of the prototype stage. that means lead time to launch was about 3.5 years (at the very least)

No Idea, I bet the honda experts should have some more insight!

It might surprise you to know that the euro spec civic is a hatchback!

technically the indian civic has been outdated last year itself. the new shape is out cosmetic wise. honda changes models every 3 years, either with cosmetics or complete body shell as well.
