Since they have changed the looks and interior as well, may be they hike the price as well? As in around 60L ex.showroom. For Q7 rivalary?

DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT A PRADO CAN RIVAL A Q7?? i really dont think so. the prices might shoot up but no way in hell is the Q7 gonna be affected by this.

P.S: personally i have a huge doubt. in dubai, the prado starts at nearly about 123-130k AED (one dirham is about 12 indian Rs, so you do the math). my montero cost me 115k AED. funny thing is, the honda CRV is priced at nearly 93k AED. if the CRV manages to cost about 20-25 lakhs here, then why are the montero and prado so much more expensive??

The Japanese website has been updated. 4.0V6 & 2.7 engine options. 5 Door only, and no Diesel, but that might be available in Europe. Top of the line version gets almost all the equipment of the larger LC200, including the KDSS and 18" alloys. Prices for the 4.0L V6, which we are likely to get here, is at 20- 26 lacs. So, it might be around 60L here, but that's a guess only- and if correct, right there in the X5- ML ballpark. Already rubbing my hands in eager anticipation!

Love the rear! design seems to have drawn inspiration from the new 4runner.Toyota is making its suvs chunky and old school,when everyone else is going soft.

Agreed! Totally! This is how an SUV should look like

rugged n huge. Personally I am not a big fan of cross overs. They're neither a car nor a proper SUV

Q7 hasn't won the title of "Undisputed champion"! Rivalry doesn't means Q7 is loosing here neither does it ensures it's wining. Engine displacement and price point arises rivalry.
My price is just an assumption.

And don't be so loud and rude by using capital words.

the prado is an extremely capable vehicle (i should know because i almost bought one). what i wanted to say, and im sure many will agree with me, is that the Q7 feels more 'special' than the prado in almost every way. be it the looks ,the ride or the overall build quality. i didnt think that it could really rival the Q7. the landcruiser is a definite contender for the Q7 (atleast this is the case in dubai). again, im not the supreme lord of all auto gurus, so i could be wrong.

again, no offence meant..

This model is the real definition for SUV and I waited around 6 months to buy this.Just called Radha Krishna Toyota 2 hours back to get it's price quote and waiting period.And guess what ? they don't even know that 2010 model was launched in japan also.The dealer guy called me and asked me whether I was looking for petrol or diesel variant and my choice was for petrol as the diesel takes 3 months to get delivered and that too not sure.Still waiting for this MIGHTY MEAN BEAST quote.I am booking this the next moment after getting the quote.

The front end is not too good looking. Looks more like a Hyundai than a Toyota. That grille could be the culprit. Can manage to live with the rear though.

Got the call from toyota guys.By the end of this december,the current version of Prado (2009 model) diesel will be Launched in India and will be delivered from March 2010.He told me that I can't import 2010 Land cruiser Prado via Toyota,I should contact importing agents ! That's a bad news for me,but my friend knows this guy in Mumbai who does these things,have to contact him now.

Can any one tell me how long will it take for the car to be delivered in India If I book via agent ? Can I get that 1 week before Christmas time ?

First impression.
Don't really like it. Definitely not the Altis like headlights.
Secondly i heard it getting the same engine as the fortuner.
Please correct me if I'm wrong here.
Heard only the driver aid and the electrical's are changing.
