1970 Hillman Avenger - what you see in the pic is the rebadged version called the Plymouth Cricket.

either 1250 or 1500 cc if I am correct. Had Yankee fastback styling. First british car to have brushed nylon uphoulstry (think of the static shocks) and a plastic radiatior grill!

You are right ajmat.
ID:571 is the 1971 Plymouth Cricket -- the USA-export version of the British Hillman Avenger.

The side marker lights on the front and rear fenders were an especially-for-USA feature. US federal laws of the time, forced all Crickets to be sold with quad round sealed-beam headlamps -- a feature of the Hillman Avenger GT.

Also standard on the US Plymouth Cricket were the British Avenger GT's front disc brakes.

The Cricket was only made with the larger 1500 cc engine (never the Avenger's 1250 cc mill).
