'1957'? That was a typo, I believe? Personally, I had to rely on Wiki in this case.

ID:712 looks very much like an Ogle SX1000. Probably a 1962.

EDIT: It's alright, SuperSelect. In that case Wiki must be mistaken which wouldn't be the first time, really.

What can i say ...doublemac you are bang on.

Its a 1962 Ogle SX1000 by David Ogle Limited based in Letchworth,U.K.These were manufactured between 1962 and 63.Only 66 were made.Sx1000 was based on 997cc
Mini Coopers using partof the bulkhead, floor pan, inner wings, sub-frame,suspension, steering, engine and gearbox. The remainder was all specially sourced and the body shell is of glass fibre reinforced plastic(GRP).

BMC refused to supply parts for construction. New cars were bought by clients and after six months (to avoid purchase tax) sent to Ogle where the upper body panels and interior were discarded and replaced plus an internal refit. The cars were exported world-wide, 39 remain with examples existing in Japan, Germany, Sweden, France and the USA as well as the UK where 8 remain roadworthy.

The car cost £1190 when new. Ogle were the designers for other manufacturers and industrial products, the most famous being the Reliant Scimitar which was a derivative of the Sabre and originally an Ogle SX250, a design commissioned by Daimler to re-body the ungainly styling of the Daimler SP250 Sports Coupe.

No sir, its not a Lotus Elite. Though the car shape mirrors that of an elite, I thought your eagle eyes would detect the ugly bonnet hinges as well as the different wheels.

ID:713 looks like a late 50's (possibly early 60's) Elva Courier to me. Don't ask me which 'mark' though.

EDIT: Aha, it's a 1961 Elva Courier Mark II. Here's the original picture.

@ Double Mac: IMO we've another Sir Ram in the making I believe, you're amazingly spot-on everytime. Out of curiosity, please reveal more about you, is this the first forum you've contributed to or anywhere else as well. I would be definitely interested in reading your contributions elsewhere too.

OT: It feels like a con game going on, amazes me to see two people of equal capabilities and skills coexisting on the same forum perhaps like Sir Sean Connery and now its Daniel Craig (both doing the same thing).

@ Preds: Dada, You uploaded the photo without changing the name, a mouse rollover on it will reveal everything.

What will it take to stop you from talking nonsense all the time?

Well yeah, hehe, that was a big goof up. Good that no one noticed it before the car was revealed.

@wasif - You were partly right. The Elva courier was sold both as a Complete car, as well as in kit form for those buyers who wanted to evade the huge purchase tax barriers in erstwhile UK.

This is a British built 2007 Farbio GTS..

Originally conceived in 2002 as the Farboud GT, the new Farbio GTS not only has a change of name but also a new engineering package courtesy of new owner Gem Marsh.

A healthy 384bhp is provided by a supercharged 3-litre Ford V6 (a less powerful normally aspirated version is also available), which in a lightweight carbonfibre body gives a very respectable 366 lbft/ton power to weight ratio. Expect a sub 4 second dash to 60mph, and a 175mph maximum.

Even at £72,000 the waiting list already stands at 7 months which bodes well for the future of this exciting British sports car.

Farbio Sports Cars - The Farbio GTS, GTS350 and GTS400
