Yeah finally its into production ... Actually even i didnt like the 16/4 nor the EB110... both of them looks ugly but im sure both are exciting to drive ....
And correct me if im wrong but EB110 had 4 turbochargers right?

Somehow, I don't like this car. The Quadturbo EB110 was a class act.

Wow......the Bugatti 16/4 Veyron (at last). One of my favourite cars of all time.
I think one should have a different taste inorder to like this car.
What i had heard about the car was that it was very unstable at high speeds and therefore was delayed. Is this true?

Now that the Veyron is here let's look at its competition

The Enzo: All sold and asked for. 660 bhp 0-60 in 3.6
The Carrera GT: Pretty much booked. 612 bhp, 0-60 in 3.8
The Mclaren Mercedes SLR: Production run fixed for every year for next 4 years. 626 bhp, 0-60 in 3.8.

Another shocking bit of trivia. All these cars cost half to a third the price of a Veyron. All complete a lap. The bugatti, well....

from what i heard last, they cut down the power so drastically that even with those quad turbos(which in the article read as superchargers....wierd! thought they were quad turbos).....the car would be limited to a top speed of about 340km/hr because above that they had deemed it to be unstable. guess the odd shape of the car lends a hand to the unstable dynamics.i sure wouldnt pay that much money for the veyron. in the price of the veyron, im sure i could possibly fit in all 3, the Enzo, CGT and the SLR. and i think i could have some loose change for a Ford GT too maybe??? lol

I'm not fond of the Veyron. Claimed top speed of 400 kph but production models wont be seeing those speeds at all . The Enzo and CGT are more juicy for that matter. If its a Bugatti for me it has to be the EB110.. Four turbochargers ooooo that sounds delicious. Like a certain JC says " Dont we just love these Italians"

So finally, it is going to make production. So much hype, so many controversies, just to be the fastest production car in the world? When all they really needed was a BMW V12 and a gold plated engine bay.

Ladies and Gentlemen: the BUGATTI VEYRON has arrived...in Grandeur style....El' grande...

the first official deliveries are to begin soon...

specs: 0-100 in 2.5 seconds...
0-160: 5 seconds...
0-200:7.3 seconds....
0-320: "under" 20 seconds...!!!
0-400: 55 seconds...!!??!!!

power: 987 bhp (1001 ps), which is a conservative figure; the actual power is around 1086 bhp or something...in fact, the max. combustion energy adds up to 3000 bhp; a 1000 horsepower is lost in the cooling system, another 1000 from the exhaust...

max. torque:1243.3 nm (921 lb.ft) @ 2000 (!!!???!!) r.p.m, or 127 kgm (!!!!!!!) of torque....

engine redline: 6500 r.p.m...

top-speed:406 kmph, achievable "on-road", by twisting a special key inside the car; if this key isn't activated, the top speed is restricted to 370 kmph..!!!

weight: 1888 kgs..!

for more details, refer this month's auto mags (CAR, autocar and OD)....

one of the mags, ACI, said: in a shootout between the mclaren F1 and the bugatti, the mclaren floored it's throttle, and reached 208 kmph. the bugatti, shot out 10 seconds later, and their respective speeds were 208 kmph and 320 kmph respectively; which means that despite starting 10 seconds late, the bugatti shattered the 320 kmph mark by the same time the mclaren nudged 208...!!

now THAT, is what i call THRUST....

all hail the new emperor of velocity, the bugatti veyron...
and from the looks of the difficulties (engineering) and controversies (costs) that bugatti faced for launching the veyron, it seems like the veyron is not just gonna go down in the history books as the world's fastest production car, but is also going to remain there for a few decades or centuries or so...

p.s- there are only 300 veyrons available over a period of time, so please place your orders now...Price: $1.2 million ONLY....

The veryon has 2 setting.one for aerodynamics and other for speed.

in aerodynamic mode it does not cross 340kmph.if one really wants to go fast they have to stop, put another key to unlock the topspeed mode(which reduces all aerodynamics)and then they can reach 405kmph.such a crap, non sense way of achiving the topspeed.

whatever the power it has the veryon somehow does not feel special.it only has the figures and nothing more about it.and know what it gives 0.86kmpl at topspeed and about 3kmpl in normal conditions.
