First Crash - Mercedes Benz SLS AMG

There comes the news. My most favorite merc's first crash !

Quote:
Top Gear - Apparently the SLS - which isn't even on sale yet - got very unfriendly with a Lada and Nissan Murano somewhere in Moscow, and ended up being very un-SLS shaped.

Hence proved: money <> driving skills

Loads of data for MB-SLS engineers to go through, next version will be more safe.

This is just painful. It could have been anything; alcohol, poor judgment, lack of driving skills, or all three! Let's hope he isn't the sort of guy who walks away from this and buys another one or something even more expensive. Let's hope he actually genuinely feels bad!

I must say the car has been designed superbly,the passenger cell has been absolutely unaffected.

Any news about the Lada and the Nissan, the other 2 "parties" of this collision?

money == irresponsibility ?

Expect a lot more of this in East Europe, middle east and Central / South America where mortality rates of supercars are high

What a horrible crash. I hope it was not being driven by the lady in the pic otherwise you can add one more factor to the crash besides alcohol , bad judgement and lack of driving skills. No offenses to the lady drivers here

I guess he must have tried to do what Michael did in the ad. ;-)

Well, there always has to be a first time for everything and no car is safe from crashes. By the way, has anyone seen a Veyron being wrecked?

Also would it be insured if it's still not out is the question. Maybe it was being transported for some exhibition etc , you never know.
