V8's are less powerfull than V10's for sure. But the use of full throttle has increased considerably.
This is bcz at 950 bhp slamming the throttle in a corner would give a spin but at 700 bhp is ok to slam as far we have seen now. Last year we have seen drivers pushing down full throttle only after entering half point of the curve but they are doing it too early this year.
This is also due to the tyre grip level's which contribute a lot as they can use 3 or 4 sets in place of 1 when compared to last year. V8 needs less air to run when compared to V10's, so less open area at the sidepods where aerodymists can do more work.
Rev's of engine has reached 20000...It is just a matter of time when it shoots up..
So for sure before season ends the times would still tumble... |
