Fernando Alonso said Red Bull has "super performance" and that Ferrari needs "to have another category of car" to compete, it was the performance of Mark Webber in overtaking him at Turn 6 that surprised him and he praised Red Bull for its dominance.
The place where Webber overtook Alonso at Turn 6 Ferrari need to have another category of car because if not it's impossible to do Turn 4, Turn 5 behind another car and be side-by-side.

Re: 2013 - Korean Grand Prix

Nico Hulkenberg should get his hands on a top seat soon. Its an absolute travesty of justice that the guy is spending year after year in midfield machinery. Pole in a Williams, nearly won a race in a Force India and weekend after weekend, this guy pulls out some epic performances. He was the star of the day as far as I'm concerned.

Imagine if a truck or jeep came out on track in India, all hell would've broken loose !

Re: 2013 - Korean Grand Prix

Just watched the whole race after downloading the sky coverage, absolutely love it. Alonso was consistently going out of the track at turn 6, is it not illegal to have all four tyres outside the white line while racing or am I missing something.

Quote:
Driving protocol and penalties
Published with permission from the Federation Internationale de l' Automobile.

20) DRIVING
20.1 The driver must drive the car alone and unaided.
20.2 Drivers must use the track at all times. For the avoidance of doubt the white lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track but the kerbs are not.
A driver will be judged to have left the track if no part of the car remains in contact with the track.
Should a car leave the track the driver may rejoin, however, this may only be done when it is safe to do so and without gaining any advantage.
A driver may not deliberately leave the track without justifiable reason.

The only justifiable reason for Alonso would be that his car is understeering too much. LOL. What are your thought about the same.

True, Alonso was going off at turn 6. I think, if a driver overtakes someone by putting 4 wheels off the track, he will get a penalty unless he gives the place back.

Fernando was asked about Hulk' performance in the race and he termed it Superb! Nothing to take away from Hulk, but that Sauber' traction out of a corner was mind boggling. It just left Lewis' Merc for dead. And Hulk' positioning of the car was awesome all through out.

Nice screen grabs. In all the cases, he's following a car at the exit of the corner and understeering away to the outside.
Once you get onto the kerb and the green stuff there's less grip so he's actually at a disadvantage.
