The 2015 WRC Season

For a car forum, it is very quiet here with regards to rally fans!

From the first rally of 2015, there were a few takeaways -

The VW Polos are still going strong
Citroen is not to be taken lightly this year
Hyundai has a way to go before getting to the top

Seb Loeb can still challenge the youngsters
Seb Ogier is still hands and feet above the rest of the grid
Robert Kubica has a good chance if his car is able
Flashes of brilliance from Tanak.

Anyone else follow it?

Re: The 2015 WRC Season

Not following the season diligently. Looks like VW and Ogier is starting where they left off last season. Big favorites.

And what about Loeb! He is a machine. Has lost none of his speed. Very impressive!

We have very few participation for WRC threads here in T-BHP. I had a thread up for 2014 season, but couldn't maintain the momentum and lost it midway. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/intl-m...-season-2.html

Hope this doesn't go that way.

Re: The 2015 WRC Season

Thanks for this thread, considering that the mainstream TV and Print media hardly give any coverage to WRC, will find this thread useful.

On a similar note do we have a thread for the current INRC?

Every individual F1 race has a thread, good that you started a thread for rallying

Is there ANY satellite / cable TV channel that broadcasts in India, which covers the full WRC season ?

A few years back WRC rallies were covered on Star Sports. But I haven't seen any coverage in the past couple of years.

Is there an online capsule of highlights, say 1 hour long on the Wednesday after every WRC rally, that is available for free / paid streaming ?

Cheers,

Hyundai WRC car jumps 44 metres. Watch Belgian rallyist Thierry Neuville set a new hang-time record over ‘Colin’s Crest’ at Rally Sweden!

Re: The 2015 WRC Season

Great work killjoy! I wish the WRC and WEC was properly covered by our Sports channels. Have been reading of Ogiers dominance last year and for the season so far. Its great to see FIA president Jean Todt resurrect WRC once again and bring in new manufacturers. Toyota are expected to join in 2017.

Will try my best to pitch in and keep this thread going.

Anybody followed the Mexico rally? Ogier just seems untouchable.

Re: The 2015 WRC Season

A much awaited thread, indeed - especially when updates and coverages are becoming dearer on television.

OT: Which all TV channels cover the WRC?
