F1 Race Live Screening | Which restaurants in which Indian cities?

Please share the places screening F1 races in your city. Will be good to plan Team-BHP meets.

The season is just too interesting to watch at home.

Last I'd gone with ChiragM to The Stables @ Andheri. Great place with lots of F1 enthusiasts.

Re: F1 Race Screening | Which restaurants in which cities?

Yeah, have been searching for the same.

Last I heard, Supercar Club Cafe was screening (2022 Bahrain GP), but its a little too far from my place.

I have joined a group of F1 enthusiast on Telegram, but most of them are not from Mumbai.

The only thing I fear is fight between "Sir's" fans and the rest, unfortunately I am part of the rest.

re: F1 Race Live Screening | Which restaurants in which Indian cities?

In Hyderabad there is a popular sports restaurant and bar called Buffalo Wild Wings (locally knows as B-dubs). It is a great place for all sports enthusiasts , they regularly have large screenings for football, cricket and F1 races as well.

Would love to meet up with BHPians based in Hyderabad for any such occasion!

re: F1 Race Live Screening | Which restaurants in which Indian cities?

Might be relevant to point out that not all races would be an ideal time to watch in a restaurant

Race Timings (in order of next races)
- Australia: 10:30 am
- Italy: 6:30 pm
- US: 01:00 am (/Mon)
- Spain: 6:30 pm
- Monaco: 6:30 pm
- Azerbaijan: 4:30 pm
- Canada: 11:30 pm

and so on...

Edit: Any F1 fans in Bangalore, give me a holler. Am game for the ones scheduled on Sunday evenings.

Stables is screening the Grand Prix at Andheri East but this time the screening is also happening at 10.30 am onwards at the Lord of the Drinks at Lower Parel for the Australian GP

The Super Car Club Garage at Thane also screens races but there is no screening of the Aussie GP this week

Link to the Lord of the Drinks screening

I saw one race in RCB cafe, they had it running on the outside, and it was awesome. Now though with IPL on, don't think they will play it. The next race I saw at One for the road in whitefield.

You should plan at Super Car Garage in Thane, added bonus of seeing good exotics as well!

IPL is the biggest enemy of F1 fans. I remember going to Xtreme Sports bar with a bunch of BHPians to watch the race many years ago. Just a couple of small screens were dedicated to F1 and those too were on mute. It was only IPL commentary everywhere and we returned disappointed. Never bothered venturing out to see a race from then on.

Re: F1 Race Live Screening | Which restaurants in which Indian cities?

Great idea. It's good to have/know of dedicated screenings and watch these races together. A bunch of Pune BHPians went to Sphere, Baner for the Season Finale last year and it was immense fun. The entire place was dedicated just for the race screening (race on every screen, and commentary), and every patron was there just for the race.

The noise and cheers when Checo, the Minister of Defence, held off Hamilton and when Max finally overtook Lewis were just terrific.

Given how well the idea worked out, we're hoping to do this again; will post on the Meets thread.

Church Street SOCIAL seems to be regularly showing the F1 races. Attached below an add of their viewing scheduled this Sunday. If you guys are interested, you can do a visit. I'll be occupied this weekend, but happy to make plans for the next race in Italy or the ones after that.

Re: F1 Race Live Screening | Which restaurants in which Indian cities?

In Chennai, insta handle @f1tamil organizes F1 screening on weekends.

For this Australian GP weekend, there are 2 locations

1. Mechanics Bar & Kitchen, Nungambakkam (above 21 years)
2. Goddy's cafe, Nungambakkam (No age restriction)

Bookings are done via DM with the organizers

Re: F1 Race Live Screening | Which restaurants in which Indian cities?

In Delhi, pebble street in NFC usually made it a point to host two screens in case there was clash between a race and any other sport.
Give a call ahead to check if IPL has not taken everything over completely. Its a good joint for catching the race.
