OMG! By far the most entertaining race in a long time. Feel sorry for massa, kimi. Amazing race, great success.

Nice to see Alonso win after a long time - he was clearly faster than most others and it wasnt only fortune that favoured him.

What a day @ work for Ferrari! First they messed up Massa's stop well and truly and then that ex-world champion of their that cannot seem to finish a race normally went and crashed into a wall just 4 laps from the finish. I pity Massa, but thats the way the cookie crumbles!

EDIT: What a boring circuit - overtaking is practically impossible here, the kerbs have concrete bumps on them and the rubber kerb-markers keep flying off. Other than the 'night' part, there's hardly anything interesting about it. Not even hot pit girls. If it hadnt been for Piquet's accident, we would've seen another procession from start to finish. This circuit wont last long on the calendar.

While Piquet's crash helped his teammate, Sutil's crash had the opposite effect for Fisi.

But yeah, agree with Steer. The track doesnt offer much except the novelty factor, which wears out after the first two laps or so. If it weren't for the drivers running their cars into walls and pillars, it would have been just a procession from start to finish.

Thanks to Nelson, a boring race turned out the be one of the best.

Lewis must be relieved to have his championship gap handed back to him.

Luck did play its part, but what a steady, error free drive from Alonso. Well done!!

Ferrari have it all to do in the final few races. These days Kimi's car has an almost magnetic pull towards obstacles, both static and moving. His error cost them vital championship points for his team.

Good to see Renault back to winning ways. It should give them the confidence going into the last few races and the development of their '09 car.

Great result for Alonso. Renault's pit strategy was spot on and the little bit of luck which everyone needs was with them. Also nice to see Nico on the podium despite a penalty. Also a sensible finish from Lewis Hamilton. Last night, while watching qualifying, power freak was of the opinion that Lewis would put his car into the wall today.
Two strokes of bad luck and one spin meant Massa couldn't score. Kimi Raikkonen self destructed as usual. As a result, Ferrari now trails McLaren by one point in the WCC.

Ferrari seriously need to get rid of their light system. Whatever little time advantage it gives, is not worth it.
Also the team as a whole needs to have a relook. They have made some serious mistakes in strategies in last 2 years, specially with changing race conditions.

About the track, I agree with most here. If not for the 'night race' factor, there is nothing special here. Yet another street circuit with virtually no room for overtaking. But by the looks of it, as long as Bernie's pockets are filling, nothing else seem to matter.

Yes, the lights in the Ferrari pit are a disaster. After the accident, the lollipop man was back for the next round of pit stops. Some serious thinking has to go into Ferrari's pit strategy. They're always found lagging behind McLaren in this dept & in such topsy-turvy races, they've always lost out.

I hope that the organizers improve the track conditions next year by sorting out the problems with the kerbs & also by re-surfacing the tracks so that they're a lot smoother & not as bumpy as this year. A couple of possible overtaking spots were lost because of the bumpy nature of the track.

^ Im actually worried for their pit crew, someone's gonna get killed if things don't change.

Excellent drive by Alonso! He proved he is still one of the Best F1 drivers on the grid!

Now, I guess Ferrari will regret extending the contract to Kimi & ignoring Alonso, Kimi's performance last few races was lacklustre & certainly not expected from the reigning F1 champion!

And Ferrari is suffering from technology phobia, you can't automate each & every thing, for certain things, human wisdom needs to be utilized!

I am also not impressed with S'pore street circuit, the only attraction was- the 1st F1 Night race!

In the replay, it was clear that Ferrari's signalling system flashes the green light to Massa & that is why he took off. Wasn't Massa's fault but unfortunate nonetheless. Cost him the race.

flying off with the fuel hose - was he scared of kimi touching him from behind?

Exciting race. But i can imagine what would be going through Massa . Feel lil sad for him. But yeah Ishaan s right i think initially we thought it was Massa s mistake. Though it was the signalling problem. And yeah i expected a more exciting Hamilton vs Alonso. Anyways awesome driving by Alonso!!

I think it is easy to jump on the bandwagon. Alonso won this race only because of the timing of first safety car deployment. He is definitely a good driver, but in today's race there wasn't anything special from him, he just got lucky and made full use of it.
Coming to your second point, why will Ferrari regret re-signing Kimi? The team would certainly know more to make that decision, don't you think?

Well.. looking at the points now it looks like justice has been done to Lewis! This should have been the gap between Lewis and Massa but for the stewards decision after Spa!
The remainder of the season is going to be a cracker!!!

Even other drivers should have taken advantage of safety car deployment!
Give the credit where it is due, Alonso has won championship in the past, so it means he is one of the Best drivers around, only if the Car is reliable, he can win races!

If you observed Kimi's last 3 races, I doubt Ferrari or any F1 team will sign him up now!

The race itself was excellent, but the circuit leaves me disappointed. I had expected grand views a la Monaco, but none of that is realised. Circuit looks sanitised :(
