Are you sure of what you are saying ??? Circuitious route in a slower car and ends up in front of Pedro who was faster than Schumi at that point of time ???

It seems I need to sit down and look at the RULES of F1 ... Schumi didnt cross the finish line so HOW THE HELL can he be classified as 9th place ???? Or on second thoughts why the hell shud I waste time figuring out something that seems WARPED ..... rl:

No because, he is already in the lead and hasnt gained any track position by going thru the grass. The place where it took place wasnt even a chicane, and in fact MS took a circuitious route.
|
Watch it carefully and u'll realise how he held onto the lead inspite of losing it at that turn ... there is NO WAY he cud have held his position if had taken the route that all other drivers took !!!!

Well it seems in F1 a DNF can aldo get you some points ( BELIEVE IT OR NOT )
Cheers
can someone please tell me when can i watch the retelecast?
manson.
Its not just F1 khaadu. In rallies, if you crash out without finishing the complete event, you may still get points!

It was at 9am today. There might be one more in a few days time.
This might help. I think they're only gonna show the highlights from now, since they've already repeated it twice.

Sure Tifosi, you should as well ;)
Just my 2cents on some topics in here....
1. Remember when Button's(?) engine blew while he was just meters away frm the finish line?? I think it was this season, not sure. But anyway, he was also classified in that race. So that rule has been around and came into play a few times...
2. About Schumacher defending his position, hello but this is a race and thats what ur supposed to do. You dnt just move aside so that the faster cars and zip ahead. And he did a great job with those intermediate tyres he was on, while the others and a tough job passing him despite having slick tyres. And he had no where to go otherthan straight lining the chicane, and thats what he was forced to do. But the 2nd time, even tho' he straightlined the chicane again, he allowed Pedro to take the position. He was being pretty fair there i suppose..
3. Fonsi was blamed by many for the incident that gave Schumacher the 2sec penalty. And brake testing Doornbors?? Is that sportsmanship then? Better keep an eye on FA's history as well.
4. And Khaadu75, i know its a personal thing about liking a person, but taking credit from the Greatest Driver In F1 wouldn't be the right thing. After all, he wouldnt have won all those races and world titles if he was a sore loser. He doesn't need to be 'gifted' points, he very well earns then, and did just that many times over.

I didnt deny the fact that he is the Greatest Driver in F1 ... atleast for todays generation but then that still doesnt take away the fact that he has been a sore loser which he has proved time and time again ...!!!!
Want me to state incidents or maybe you can search for them .....
Cheers

If I may correct you here, Schumi was on intermediate tyres which were slower than the cars with slick tyres, the reason others were unable to overtake him quickly was because the track had only one dry racing line and schumi was on it... if the others tried to overtake him on the wet side, they would've gone off...Pedro was always trying to over take schumi on the start-finish straight, but had to back-off before braking, because that was a wet part (remember Alonso, Scott speed and so many other guys who used to slip around when they changed to slicks and got out?) so schumi just blocked them and made it difficult for them and inturn caused more trouble for himself by trying to push the intermediates...I appreciate Ferrari and Schumi for taking this chance and not dive into the pits just to score points, this is a race and you are supposed to give it everything... like how Kimi could've changed his tyre in the 2005 nurburgring race and still salvaged a 3rd or 4th...he lost the race, but earned a lot of respect.. so did Schumi in this race!
U know, i almost didn't watch the race. That would have been a disaster.
Lets hope Honda repeats this very soon.

He straightlines the chicane comes ahead of Pedro. Schumacher goes to the right of Pedro allows him to close in thus eliminating the advantage, they was almost side by side. I hope you agree there. Immediately there was a left turn Pedro was having the inside line but Schumacher closed the doors. If that incident was to be watched again by FIA, then im sorry you dont agree with what FIA is doing.
Look at that move from sport point of view it was legal. And being a fan of the sport you all should accept the greatness of driver to hold a car and driver which is 4.5 secs faster.
I say poor show by Pedro cant overtake a car which was as slow as a 2 yr old Minardi.
Throw Pedro out and get Webber in!!
Khaadu for a moment I accept (actually dont :D) Schumi is SORE LOSER so whom according to you is not and much better than Michael Schumacher.
