Since McLaren Rulez has agreed to my suggestion by PM, I shall use this thread to post a few pictures on Marshalling at Abu Dhabi F1.

The race is now history!

As I mentioned earlier there were three of us from Team BHP (at least I know of).

Joz was an Intervention Marshall
TJ6 was Tractor 15
I was Tractor 1 at Pit Lane Exit below Turn 1

This was the culmination of about 6 full days of theoretical training, followed by couple of days of Flag and intervention Marshalling Training and countless night sessions (since all of us had other day time jobs) at Yas facilities Management/Technical area, practicing our Tractor (JCB Loadalls) operation skills.

As you may have seen the action was at the hairpin and Tractors 5 and 6 were only involved in clearing it.

I am now an official Yas Marina "Tunnel Rat" having done a tour of duty on the Pit Exit Tunnel

Hi McLaren, great to read your experience at the Singapore GP 2010...lots of info in addition to the induction session we just had for the Indian GP Marshals Yes, i attended the induction and will be a marshal at the inaugural Indian GP 2011...feels so great already

I had read in your posts and at the induction here also that cameras, phones and driver autographs are a no-no but here you have posted pics taken by other marshals and you have written that you had photos and autographs, are we allowed cameras and autographs(within restricted limits)? I would be an addition to the otherwise amazing experience.
