If its raining in hockenheim, I'll put my money Button (proven rain master for the season) and Michael (seasoned rain master). I don't think P4 and P5 is that bad a position on the grid considering that cars with heavy fuel and rain on track are bound to act up around the first corner. I am hoping for all that and much more...watching F1 has been so much fun this year. I really miss Kimi and his ruthlessness on the grid, hamilton/webber are doing a good job filling in, but Kimi is KIMI !

If it continues to pour like this, the qualifying and race is gonna be a treat to watch.

In the rain, A Hero can be a Zero and a Zero can get to become a Hero.

Practice Three

Another rain affected topsy turvy session.

Sutil hasn't set a time at all. Hope he and his car are in shape for qualifying.

I am getting the feeling that Alonso and Ferrari might be back on top this weekend .

Even Vettel and Hamilton are supposed to be pretty good in the rain .

Liuzzi has crashed. Can anyone tell what had happened exactly? I am not at home right now.

This is what happened;

He grassed two wheels on astro turf and spun, hitting the pit wall barriers

Thanks Raj
Force India has tweeted that Adrian was facing problems with his driveshaft so the entire gearbox had to be replaced. Resulting in the 5 place penalty.

Vettel claimes pole for his home grand prix at Hockenheim - and denied Alonso a first Ferrari pole by just 0.002 seconds.

Massa, Webber, Button follow for 3,4,5 respectively

Superb Ferrari are back! So close to achieving their first pole of the season. Now just don't do anything stupid and try to get the points home.

Massa is also coming good but is half a second behind Alonso. Hope he finds more pace in the future races.

Schumi unlucky to miss out Q3 by thousand of a second. Brawn and MercGp aren't yet there. Williams have made huge progress with their cars. Kudos to them.

Force India are falling behind Williams for 3rd race in a row.
They should pray for rain at race time tomorrow, which will definitely get Sutil into points, as he is an excellent wet weather driver.

F1 is the only sport where even 2000th's of a second can make all the difference!! Amazing drive by Vettel as always. Lets see if he can convert this pole position into a podium finish this time.

The surprise really is the gap between 2nd & 3rd position!

Alonso did extremely well to challenge the bulls this time! It looked like the Ferrari was designed just for the Hockenheim track. The car looks so easy to drive from the onboard view!

I only pray that the Ferraris have a clean race tomorrow.

Ferrari are back and how, with a blatant team order. Disgusting stuff from Ferrari, if Alonso was faster than Massa, why not overtake him genuinely on track

"Okay Massa, Alonso is faster than you. please confirm receipt of the message"

Well i frankly think that Ferrari wanted to avoid a Red Bull all over again where two of the drivers take each other out.

Alonso did try an overtaking move a few laps earlier and then cooled his heels. He had to back off when Massa abrubtly shut the door on him. I don't think he would have done that if Massa was not his team-mate

Kind of a dicey situation for Ferrari. If Massa was so good then why didn't he defend his bloody position?? i am tired of this cry baby at Ferrari. He is fast but he makes too many mistakes under pressure. Never a fan.Drivers with less of experience hold faster cars behind them with some smart driving - Massa should try that.

Beats me why Ferrari renewed his contract at all. I wish Vettel cooks Massa's goose!!

Drive on,
Shibu.
