Doc, your ride looks good esp the matt finish color and the alloys.

about the power device, i think doc is referring to 'turbonator' which was actively pushed by MASS s in Bangalore couple of years back. they claimed that it increases the KMPL & HP values and i too have lost around 700Rs on that. there are lot of discussion all over the internet about the truth in those claims.

Doc, since you've driven with these mods for about a year now, request you to remove the turbonator and post if you feel any difference (of course in an ownership thread)

Mods - i have no intention to change this thread to a tech discussion one. please do remove if irrelevant.

i guess you got the product right -& as far as performance goes i am not all too happy about the improvement but i am not too much into high speed driving because i have a family with 2 small kids .will try and remove the stuff and see the difference

the growl of the car is just perfect thats all i wanted to suit the mods. infact if i have to do another car i would go with the K&N filter and probably only a cat back exhaust for the sound .rest of the stuff i really dont know if they are making any difference for my driving

the headers which performance zone sent initially did not suit my santro because it was as the mechanic put it having a xing engine so i had fitted only the last 3 pieces out of the 5 -infact it had a very good growl without affecting mileage also ,but after they redid the headers and got all the 5 pieces connected, mileage went down drastically so i have recently changed back to the stock 4-1 headers-somehow i feel the sound quality is better also

Re: Santro Nicknamed Batmobile

doc tell me something.
did you (used to) get valve clatter inside the cabin?
a sort of subdued marbles-in-tin-can sound, only rhythmic?

i do sometimes get a clattering sound once in awhile especially when i start the engine and the engine doesnt kick off-it ends with a clatter. it doesnt happen too often though
