Hello Motorheads !!

Hi guys...My name is Prasad, 25. .I just got a 92' Mitsubishi GTO as an outcome of my frustration looking for an R32 / R33 GTR but cant find any unmolested ones with low milage on them (there are tons of imports from japan here)..as i plan to come back home in 2 years for good..(i am from bombay by the way) My reason for joining the forum is to find out if there are any garages in bombay that are good for turbocharged vehicles. I've been here in Sydney for 3 years, just finished my MBA in international marketing and am working in the related field with a handsome pay to support my addiction for 4wd turbos...cheers !!

P.S: will upload pictures of my ride once i figure out how this thing works..i think it would be worth the wait..

Thanks guys...but as i said, i'll be selling her off soon...have plans to change the air filters this week end...i have a pair of pipercross foam filters..will see if they are enough...but you never know with these things...i might actually love them for their particular traits...this one for instance has better cornering due to the 4WS (4 wheel steering) but has massive turbo lag...doesn't kick in till about 4000rpm...but she sure looks fast...Thanks again...cheers!!

Hey, nice ride! Welcome aboard!

Isn't the 3000GT the same as the GTO? If I'm not mistaken, badging was changed across Europe and America to avoid confusion with the Pontiac 'Goat' and the famous Ferrari.

I'm assuming this is the twin-turbo version, DOHC with 300bhp. Can you confirm? And which trim level is it?

Nice car, remember getting a ride in it as a kid. Blew my mind. You're lucky!!!

Thanks Viper

they were called the GTO when they were launched...didn't have all the active aero system as the 3000gt's have...little plaps that moved around depending on speed for improved handling...most guys i know of have that thing removed as in increases weight to an already heavy car..

the guy i got it from does not have the original import papers..but its a Jap spec car..so it was limited to 280hp (like all jap production cars including skylines)..it is a twin turbo V6...have no dyno sheets but i thinks its around 320bhp with the custom exhausts (3 inch throughout) he has taken the limiter off...and has a 280kmph veilside instrument panel..and also changed the air filters..HKS twins...and a HKs BOV..

So basically it's just an aero package difference?

300bhp in stock form is my guess. The stock JDM speedo only shows upto 180 kmph, so I guess the Veilside speedo is a must!

Hey Godfather, why don't you buy this car off him?
