Hi

Hey, This is Sumon Bhattacharya from Kolkata.....I work as an HR manager in a bank, n my past time goes in reading about the fast streamline butterflies with 4 wheels ;-) ..... My dream was to get into automobile racing(not rally, mind you), but i guess thats a rich man's sport so i'm starting to let that dream die.....I drive a 2002 esteem VX.....few mods that I could afford was spacers in my suspension to fit in 185 wheels, a custom freeflow twin exhaust(not from the manifold - its only the box) which adds about 5% to the power, a KnN air filter.....it tops about 185kph - have tested it on a flyover which is the only place in calcutta wer i can possibly do that speed at 3am in the morning.......well thats me :-)....if u can help me get into racing without me spending much(money's an issue coz i support my parents financially as well while earning only 30000 bucks a month), then I guess you WILL see an indian Lewis Hamilton.....hahahaha.....high hopes - thats another thing about me ;-)

Welcome Sumon. Nice to hear that you have a esteem and possibly the right mods (not show offs ) Looking forward to see your ride and possibly drive with Sriman Lewis Hamilton. Anyways where did you buy your speed boosters and how much did each cost.

Yes that would be great. If you can upload a video of your car hitting 185, that would be really good

Hellooo......yes I'm a pointer...how did ya'll guess that ???....2001 graduation batch......n i meant 165, not 185.....my mistake....wasnt trying to brag unnecessary......cant post videos, but will surely post a few pics soon, waiting for my comp bluetooth to get fixed for that.....
as for mods....well my cousin deals with restoration o vintage n classic cars and also buyin n sellin of cars in general....hez also a judge with the rally authorities - he helped me with the mods - the exhaust cost me 3K and the spacers were for 1100 bucks.....I got the wheels and the rims from him(used rims) - total set cost me about 5000 along with the Ducaro Rally 185's - I've changed the front 2 tyres to Bridgestones for better front grip....its a lot better now !!!.....so long

hey ace959 - welcome to tbhp. a lot of Pointers in the Kolkata chapter !!
one question - why did you need spacers for 185 wheels in esteem. and a stock esteem will show more than 165 on the speedo on AJC Flyover in fourth gear. In fact I saw 175 in my friend's BSIII esteem on the flat part of the flyover. So you can easily push your car a bit further .
