Hi again all, here's some more about me... I'm an HR professional working for an Indo-American company in Mumbai. I am not supremely knwoledgable on cars, but am interested in increasing the knowledge (so a lot of the stuff i read here is pretty informative). I love travelling and prefer road traveling to air travel. I own an Alto, which just came after a long haul at the service centre. the 26/7 event pretty much took the wind out of it... 3 feet of water inside the car!!! I hope the intro is detailed enough.

Hey thanks Avinash, glad you like the id, you've lost me with the 'HR and typing' line though...

Hi trinadha - sorry about the length of the id, is DT ok?

And Karthik - My car is certainly back.. cant say for sure if its running though... what i have gotten back seems less like a car and more like a truck with a superiority complex..

Hi again Trin.
Life in Mumbai for the time being is good (i hope the dry weather continues for a while).
Insurance covered a lot of the costs, the whole thing came upto about 50K or so..
The interiors are ok, its been done up and stuff. Dad's not too happy with things, and is looking to sell.

I saw an interesting post on "tips during floods" somwhere on TBHP. Cant seem to locate it now. Am sure a lot of people would like to know about it (in Mumbai at least) for future reference.

I wonder if someone can help me locate that information?
