Added ODB II reader (ELM 327)

Bought it from Dx dot com. There is no specific reason to buy as i don't have much knowledge about the automotive performance parameters, just want to spend some time (I am a gadget freak though). It took 5 weeks for getting the delivery. DX don't provide courier tracking for order value less than $15. One day found a package lying in my apartment mail box with seal opened . Fortunately there is no damage.

Have connected the device and it is working fine. Need to take the car to an empty road some week end and do some testing.

Re: My new Ford Figo TDCi Titanium - Diamond White

A/c developed a hissing noise since last couple of weeks. Posted the issue in the Figo forum and few faced similar issue and got it resolved through the Ford service. The culprit is the evaporator and it was replaced under warranty. A/c is quite again.

Devakumar, have you done anything to the turbocharger/wastegate? In the screenshot i see the boost peaking to 21PSI. Is this the default boost pressure, iirc the 1.4TDCI runs around 15PSI of boost.

Increase in boost could be because of Dieseltronics box, haven't done any other modification

Re: My new Ford Figo TDCi Titanium - Diamond White

Have done interior cleaning in 3M OMR, cost me Rs.2400/-. The place is very spacious and clean. Quality of job is good, but cost is bit on the higher side.

Was checking the OBD with TorguePRO app yesterday when I got a chance to drive on somewhat a free stretch of road...

So standard warranty covered the evaporator coil? how much was the approximate cost in the invoice?

Ford readily agreed to do this or you had to talk to service manager etc to get it done. I am hearing this hissing noise in my car for long time now and so thinking of getting it checked during 40K service.

I don't remember the cost and don't have access to the Invoice now. There is no hesitation or anything from the SA for doing this under warranty. So far the service at MPL ford is good (even after i am out of warranty period).

My car is completing 6 years and 65K KMs this month. Haven't updated this thread for about three years. Due to my project I was travelling / staying at Hyderabad and car is used very less during this period. Done couple of long drives during this period, including one Chennai-Hyderabad trip.

Now I am back to Chennai and started using regularly. Have done the service at Eureka ford. This one is a major service which cost 18K (all the previous service cost ~5K).

Car runs smooth as usual. My dieseltronics remote is not working, which needs to be checked. Thinking about changing / upgrading the car, but the way the car is holding up, I am also thinking about keeping the car couple of more years.

Service and few pics...

Neat looking car mate. Well done!!! Since you are a Ford customer in Chennai, which dealer would you recommend out of Hans Ford, Chennai Ford and Eureka Ford for sales and service?

Re: My new Ford Figo TDCi Titanium - Diamond White

I had very good experience with MPL/Eureka till they got into some financial mess. Not sure how Eureka is doing now. Have done my last service outside. Don't have enough details about other ford dealers to comment.
