Wow, those readings are clap: Surprised that even the caster hasnt moved by a bit also whereas in my Celerio there is already a bit of deviation in 65k kms, even though its still within acceptable range.

Update: The car had run only 1800 km in the past 1 year, but it was time for an oil change. Took this opportunity to also replace the spark plugs(were last replaced in 2016), brake oil(last replaced in 2020), air filter(last replaced in 2019), rotate the wheels, clean the brakes etc. Specially, the drum brakes were both in pathetic condition, both cylinders were jammed. Also lubricated the joints on steering column which significantly reduced the steering effort.

Took me 3 days for entire DIY as I used to work in free time only, but the results were worth it.

Parts needing replacement soon: Battery, last replaced in 2015, it's almost 8 years old and might need replacement soon. The Bosch C7 has helped in keeping it healthy during period of hibernation. :thumbs up Secondly, the brake shoes may last 5k kms safely, but will replace them during next cleaning whenever it happens.

Bro, what's the need to replace those NGK Iridiums? They are not worn out till they clock at least 60K kms. And you cannot clean or gap Ir plugs you just replace them. Why? Coz of that very delicate Ir tip.

Densos are good for 100K. You remember the saga with my car. Tried both and settled on Denso. Goldie's metronome like firing at idle is lovely (if a Corolla can do that) even with a cold engine. :)

23 y.o. or not, your little one looks pretty as ever :loveit

These iridiums had done close to 40k kms atleast and were 7 years old. Hence replaced them. Somehow noticed that the gap had significantly increased.

I remember you had forbidden adjusting the gaps or cleaning then. Hence replacing was a better option for me. :)

Unable to find Denso Iridiums anywhere, hence have to settle for NGKs.

There are things that money can buy, things like spare parts and labour charges for a good mechanic. But there are things that money can't buy, like the dedication and patience that Shashi has towards his vehicles.
This has to be the most well maintained 800 in India and the entire credit goes to Shashi.

Amazing! Marvellous. When many owners get bored of their vehicles in a few years, you’ve set a benchmark that with some care and much love, even simple cars can match the finesse and feeling of today’s hi tech cars. It is looking pristine as always. Cheers to 23 and for many more to come!

Lol, I believe you are from Ranchi, and we had a regional celebration that evening, causing long power cuts in the entire city. Hence XL6 had to light up GG's party. :D
