It really is a well made car. My car has done over 85000 kms and still doesnt sound bad. Can beat most vehicles on the road from a standstill. I drive down to Pune from Bangalore a lot and get a decent 15-16kmpl. The roads being wonderful past Hubli helps a lot. Wonderful car.

1.6 lac kms!!! that keeps my confidence in the old jap engines growing.

the OHC VTEC,... the only machine that gave me a gut feeling that i will never go wrong in putting in my small budget into a 2nd hand car rather than a gleaming one off the shelf.

18 months and 11000 kms later (got this in 2nds while odo was at 44000)i have absolutely no regrets.

i can see my colleagues who picked up new cars exactly the same month as when i got this one in 2nds, have made more visits to their respective service centres than i have made to the local fuel station!!!

every single part in the car is COMPLETELY working including the tiny motor of the ORVMs even after 7 Mumbai monsoons since Jan 2001.

hats-off to the OHC VTEC, TBHPs favourite car.

Hey!!

Hi Guys!!

I am new to this forum as a member but have been reading a lot since april 08. I have the OHC Vtec a December 2000 model. It has done 64k so far and is going strong by the day. Reading about fellow members and their experiences with the OHC Vtec makes me feel amazing and also look forward to the kms to come.

Wanted to know if there is a kind of the Vtec Club thread???

Have posted a few pics of my car on the following page

"Sold at 1,72,350 kms"

Guys my OHC Vtec has been sold at 1,72,350 kms for around 3.5 lakh rupees.
I still love the car a lot. It assisted me in many drag races, many power slides, many 190kmph speeds , many quarter mile drags.
Love you (No Name)

Dude this is not done. You said you were not going to sell it. What happened? What went wrong?

I had to dude.
Dad said if you want the car you'll have to leave OHC

It was a very sad moment for me , but simultaneously i was happy that the vRs was coming.

Ohc 1.5

I had clocked 1,26,000 on my OHC 1.5 (not an VTEC) before selling it around 1.3 years back. (I have a Civic-AT now). Great car, but I started having problems with it at around the seventh year. (I owned it for 8.3 years).

The AC wasn't working, starting problems, engine going-off suddenly when running, etc.

But I will always have fond memories of this great car! (I had it at the prime age of my life, now since I'm old I have an AT!)
