Good Review, covers all the topics, i was looking for. The thing bothering me is the low average (kmpl) and inconvenience to elders for getting in & out of the vehicle... Otherwise, the rest of the things are quite positive..

Its identical to the regular turbo sierra except for a Borg Warner shift on the fly 4x4 (like the Safari).

this review brings back memories of my sierra turbo , bullying the cabbies and the ricks all thanks to the metal bumper , the marching noise of the engine aaaahhhhhhhhhh !

nice review dippy , trust me try and keep it ( rather possess it ) for as long as you can as i've been through the whole process of letting go !

Hey Dippy brings back sweet memories. I had a TATA Estate of the same color. Eventhough I wanted a Sierra, dad purchased the estate. But nonetheless it was a very good vehicle.
Even i had the same sort of problems over the color of the car.

An update:

The car has been given a paint job. Kept the same shade though. She shines now

We had a sierra ,white one at that. But had to sell it 80000 K,thats when all the sierras start showing up age ,and an engine rehaul is the best cure.

was thinkin of buying a turbo 4WD sierra.
how much should we ideally pay for such a vehicle
assuming i need to perform an engine overhaul
....it will be atleast 7 years old now right??

4WD Sierras will be really hard to find since they came out just before Sierra production stopped. Though if you come across one, you should get a good deal since Sierras go for a song

Very emotional review there, Dippy. You sure love your Sierra.

Rs.40,000/- gets you a gull-wing rear door done by Color World in Kerala. Quite a few people have had it done and the rear becomes much more usable.

I agree Steeroid . Even in Mumbai there are people who have done similar things or added two extra doors but then the Sierra loses its character doesnt it?
