Did the axle change resolve your problem? Were the alignment readings correct as per specifications after the axle was replaced?

Before the axle change, Maruti engineers reviewed all the alignment readings starting from 35K Kms and said that there is no issue with the alignment. Regarding the reading taken from Madhus, they said may be Madhus is not having the correct reading for Dzire.

After changing the axle, the issue still persists but with some improvement.

- Rear Left - No improvement, still has the issue with the same intensity
- Rear Right has improved
- Front Left has improved
- Front Right has improved

Maruti engineers has asked me to monitor for another 1000 Kms before reviewing again.
How about yours? Did this issue re-appear after the changes done in Basha Alignment center?

That really :Shockked: me. Service Masters in Chennai charged me 4500 for EGR cleaning alone (labour included)

is this a correct amount.

The rates are Maruti standard and not dealer specific, must be same across India.

Not true, different service stations charge differently.

For example, Navneet, Car Kraft charge 350 for Alignment, Vitesse charges around 700 bucks.

I think it depends on the area the service station is in.

Posh Areas = Higher price

Suburbs and areas almost on the outer periphery of the city = lesser price

well should I give a slight ticking off to Maruti as Service master is a JV.

Don't think so, especially for the engine components they have fixed labour costs. But still 640/- & 4500/- are no match for the very same job!
And I've verified across multiple MASS, the service cost is same at least in Bangalore.

I agree there is a difference in what A.S.S charges. But, not too much.. For eg: 700 should be for alignment + balancing with weights, right? and, the 350 is just for alignment.
You are right, there will be some differences, but not this much. Especially for EGR cleaning, which is not a biggie..

I agree with you on this one, the 640 Vs 4500 = too much of a vast difference even if one service station was on earth and the other was on moon.


No, just alignment. Alignment with balancing at Vitesse will cost you around 1300 rupees. IMAGINE. This is from a personal experience by f1fan and me.

Same thing at Spectra too. 1300 rupees around for an alignment balancing job with weights.

Navneet = Around half for the same job.

I did the EGR cleaning last week @BIMAL and they charged me 1500. So, are you sure its only EGR alone or inclusive of something else as well? What was the description in the bill?

Are you certain that it was EGR + turbo cleaning? The charge for intercooler cleaning was around 700 for me, but the EGR cleaning and intercooler cleaning are two separate jobs which even some service advisers seem to have gotten mixed up (believe me, it took me 2 services and 1 hour of explaining to get both jobs done).

However, this doesn't take anything away from the fact that different Maruti service stations seem to charge significantly different amounts for the same job. I'm tempted to try to "shop around" for the best deal when my next service comes up :-)

I am having the exact same issue, left rear tyre wearing out and all other tyres are just fine. Not able to resolve the issue.

I will check and come back.

What does the MASS say on your issue? For me currently they are experimenting. After the rear-axle change things have improved but not resolved.

Can you upload the latest reading taken during the alignment? It would be great if you could upload that entire page with all the readings.
