The Beast

Putting up some more pics on the BEAST.

MB Quart 12 Inch subs at the rear.

Manipal provided Seat covers.

Interiors not changed.

MB-Quart Door Speakers all over.

Even the Tweeters are MB-Quart.

Stupid Blaupunkt HU makes way for Sony 2000 series DVD player.

sony 4 ch amp under the front left seat, Sits neatly.

This does justice for the Beast.
With Ganesha's blessings maybe my Headrest mount Screens will come soon.

Keep posting comments. Will update once screens arrive.

Nicely kept car pavan. suggest to paint your claddings & bumpers now itself (preferably before the delivery) with body colour as it may show slight variation in colour, when you do it in 2009.

Some how i feel that you can relook @ your ICE (IMO). Sony with MB quart & even the placement of the Amp, when you have acres of space in that beast.

Nice review Pavan, although you got me confused for a minute with your references to things you got done in Manipal since we have no Tata service center here. Manipal is more famous as a town rather than T.A.S.S. People outside of Bangalore are bound to get confused.

PS: My niece in Bangalore often faces this problem. She sometimes refers to her cousin (my son) saying he is in Manipal. Some classmates instantly ask her about the nature of hospitalization.

Nice short review ( although it cannot be termed as a review). The car color combination of red and gray is quite rare to be seen on a safari. Looks quite nice

Thank you all guys,

Its just passion that keeps we guys doing this.

Want to get the claddings painted, but i feel that the Grey and Red combination works just great with the Beastt.

Will surely give this a thought.

The Beast is now at 15000kms mark and to talk about its performance "MIND BLOWING"

I see and hear people talking about niggles in the SUV, (WHERE ARE THEY ?)

Its like finding needle in a hay stack or maybe i'am lucky (Touch Wood) that the BEAST is behaving so decently.

Taking stock of the last 5000 kms that i've clocked these are what's been noticed. 4000 kms on highways and some 900 odd kms on city roads.

1) Avg mileage has been 11.65 kms with xtra Diesel.
2) Avg speed maintained at 100 - 110 kmph on highways.
3) Gear shifts become smooth
4) Engine noise reduced
5) Problem with air filter, gets clogged every 2500 kms
6) Transmission noise at last seat (Dont know weather its a problem)

Overall there has been no visit to Manipal Motors in the last 10000 kms apart from 5000 kms service i do.

Sticking on to Oil change every 5000 kms. Whatever anybody says about oil change every 10000 kms i dont care.

The car has to be lubricated adequately and hence feel 5000 kms oil change is necessary.

To sum it up the 3L has proved itself right in our decision to own it.

We love the BEAST.

Just curious.... How did you manage to stop your beast at that place for a photo... I had tried it almost everyday but couldn't manage that background .

Beast looks best in red.

Hi BWN,

You talking about this pic.

Just parked the Beast there and took a snap, what problem do you face.

There's enough parking space there.

You just need to find the right time for such snaps.

Look at this pic, taken during uphill climb.

Just snap them when u can.

Thanks for the compliment,

Red is the dream color and Beast was the Dream Car.

The Beast

Hi Guys,

Finally got my headrest screens,

Two 7" screens from Pricol.

Now the Beast is ready for long non boring drives.

My in-car entertaintment is completely ready.

These screens cost me 10k with fitting.

These screens came with head rests.

But one problem yaar, These guys who did the fitting are not pro's,

They have not fitted my arial for the radio, my battery went dead for the first time after the fitting was done(My luck the car started after 3 clicks)

Want help if someone knows a pro in doing these fittings, Just let somebody mend the existing fitment.
