Hi abhibh,

> am i missing something here ?? 5k KM for petrol car, May i know which petrol > car servicing @5k KM intervals except for carb. ones.

I don't know whether DieselFan knew about this.

You would agree that Honda City always has been a fuel injected petrol. I don't know about the older ones, but the City ZX CVT (as well as manual ones) has a 5000kms (6 months) oil change service schedule. But the oil filter is changed only every 10000kms.

Nice - it definitely improves the rear looks. They should offer this as OE.

Ezee/Steeroid: I saw a Logan with spoiler and faux wood inserts in the dash at the showroom, and they said it was a custom job they were offering for xx K Rupees -can't recall exact figure. It looked sexy and the wood dash esp raised the game a whole lotta notches.
She's a good machine, and these trick bits do a lot to mend her plain-Jane looks.

AFAIK, Noida Showroom offers these mods for ::
Spoiler - 5K
Woodwork - 8.5K
Alloys - 24K
Leather Seat covers / Refitted Bucket shaped - 21K
Steel Tail Pipe - 1.8K

The Logan with these fitments looks really cool. Prices are on the higher side, though.

Thanks for that. I agree, it does sound expensive.

Showrooms are expensive, this what you can get in market:

Spoiler - 2.4K
Woodwork - ----K (no idea)
Alloys - 16K
Leather Seat covers / Refitted Bucket shaped - 12K
Steel Tail Pipe - 500 Rs.

If only logan diesel was a few thousands cheaper , I would have immediately gone for it . I see two logans standing everyday at the parking lot. The car in no way looks like a "cheap" car . How about the after sale service experience ? Also any rattle problems ?

@ezee - I thought the Logan would return higher figures , somewhere around 20 . If I put premium diesel on my swift ,with no a/c the mileage goes up to 17.5 kmpl. I have 195 venturas and really use the turbo a hell lot.

The few thousands you want to save, will be compensated after a couple of years when you would estimate cost of maintenance with other cars. Logan's are here to live long, as it does with other countries.

A.S.S. is excellent till date, even Mahindra guys (head office) are taking up every request seriously coming to them directly, anything you feel send a mail and you wwill get a case id assigned with a representative from Mahindra assigned to that.

Also no additional sounds except few like TAK TAK sound coming from right window glass - either something stucked or loose screw and loose rear bumper due to grace of a policeman driving M800.

As per OB comp and manual check I get 17.4 in city with 60% AC on and around 20 on highway with same. Altough few of my friends getting more due to their driving style. For best FE stick to 80 kmph below 2500 rpm.

Considering the price difference, Business Standard Motoring has recommended Logan Diesel over Fiesta Diesel.

Tests - Big fight - Business Standard Motoring

Hi Ezee

Have you put Leather or Art leather for seats? Looks fab! Please share brand/price, your experience and your recommendation.

Thanks

Manuf - AutoFoam
Cost - 5500/-
Store - Sterling Motors Gurgaon (Dealer)

I bought logan in first month of its launch so nothing was available in market, I was bound to purchase from Dealer, but I think now options are there i market.

Seats are quality from AutoFoam but drawback of leather seat is sweating when extreme hot outside or AC is off, cleaning is easy (no need to dryclean - use soap water only). I recommend.

Also Genuine leather seats are damn costly so I dont even think about that.

May be to do with the fact that most logans are taxis; and ideally taxi owners would get of the vehicle to manage the luggage in the boot. Just a thought. cheers:
