I don't know about DICOR. But for TCIC there are 2 types of Co-Driver mirrors:

1. Motorised With Heater(For EX) - Part No: 2699 8110 01 73
2. Non motorised withour heater(For LX) - - Part No: 2699 8110 01 33

and it cost you around 2600(For EX) manufactured by EngineTech. But I heard a DICOR mirror cost you around 3600

Thanks for the info Jennifer. I replaced my mirror for DICOR EX, the cost was 3890/- from TASS. Wondering if this could have been lesser from somewhere else. Yes, it says it is with heater, I dont know how to activate though :)

Is there any seperate switch to activate those demisters on your EX?
I am guessing on Dicors it gets activated automatically when you swicth on the rear defogger (if it has a heater). Let me go through the manuals once again.:D

Yes, thats correct. No separate switch.

Hi Jen, The left side wiper control stalk of Indica DLS (Non Turbo) broke off while using the controls in a hurry.
Is it possible to buy only the left side stalk? From where can I buy it other than TASS?

Do you mean Wiper control stack?

Yep, The stick on the left side of the steering wheel which has the controls for Wiper, Wind shield Washer etc. That stick is broken.

I heard its called "COMBINATION SWITCH" in Indica and its manufactured by Shutham. You cant buy only the left side. it cost you around Rs. 500 and the Part No is: 2702 5450 99 23

Thanks Jennifer. Let me run with the current one for some more time. Will get it replaced later.

Does the DICORs come with heated mirrors? I dont know whether mine is a heated one or not. But ofcourse its a motorised one.

2.2L EX have motorized but not heated ones. Dont think the VX even has these.

Fine, Do you have a LUCAS Pump or MICO Pump and which Brand injectors?

The 3.0 DiCOR Safari has heated ORVMs in the EX and VX versions. When you switch on the rear defogger, the ORVMs get heated as well - very useful in the rain.

My TCIC 2001 safari with Engine work done at 138,000 and presently at 147,000 is suffering from sluggish response and slow acceleration since some while and the problem is increasing.

The Engine work was done with a local mechanic.

The Authorized service centre guys at Balaji in Thane (Mumbai) adviced me that the Fuel Pump needs servicing and they too get it done outside and suggested that I do the same and get this done whereever I got the engine work done.

Had the Fuel Pump serviced at about 65,000 kms as then it was racing (Accelerating away) on it's own. (Again by a local mechanic who took the pump to possibly a bosh service centre.)

Am out of touch with the earlier local mechanic who did the prior pump work though i do know one more who worked on the engine earlier, so:

Any idea which company pump the 2001 model would have? (Bosch or Mico).
Where can I get it reliably serviced at Mumbai. Any authorised centres only for this?
What about new pump to replace this one in exchange. - cost?
What about a refurbished pump to replace this one in exchange?
How do you recommend i go about this to do it ASAP?

IBM_Jennifer,
Looks like my bad luck with mirror continues. My DICOR left side mirror broke once again thanks to a reckless bus driver.
Anyway, can you please suggest some cheap replacement. Last time I paid around 3800. Dont want to spend so much again.
You were mentioning about the non heater and non motorized mirror on LX earlier. what is the cost of this ?
Also, is there any way to contact Engine Tech direclty in Bangalore ?
The TASS is usesless as they harass the owner to the maximum extent possible.
Please guide me to somewhere wher I can get this in Bangalore or even suggestions like whether any other vehicle one like SUMO etc will fit in
