@White_VDi: Well yeah. Have it in mind.

@Tanveer:
Major places its been to:
a. Ranthambore - Del-Jaipur-(try exiting at shahpura)-Dausa - Ranthambore
b. Serolsar - hike from Jalori
/Prashar - go through Mandi town to the other side of the river (at the end of town on Manali road, is a left turn T point - take it and cross over)
/Solang - you know this

PS: Noted that of the multiple responses, except Dijje, no one said ICE - is this TBHP?

Gleaming Swift & some really nice pictures.

Car is sorely missing Team-BHP stickers though

Wow that was fast, Congrats

Right now thats the best color in Swift IMHO & all the waxing has kept her look gleaming

Chalo after all the confusion its good to see that you are happy with the Swift.

Btw no Audio yet?? I cant even drive without ICE :P

Nice report. And 10K kms in 4 months is quite something.

BTW, I agree with Hydrashok about weekly waxing being kinda overdoing it. Once a month or even once in 2 months should be just fine.

@GTO - Thanks but I'm a non-sticker person - except when it comes to my helmet!

@Kedar - Actually, I'd have been happy with the Palio too - but the VDi's FTD factor makes the bad boy in me smile everytime i driiive

as for ice, its okay - I listen to a MP3-speaker radio FM phone so that okay. What i've really liked - I can't afford now - so making the most of waiting for ICE!

@SB - Thanks. It should actually accelerate much more with lotsa things on work/personal front easing off for me now

Umm, once a month is the minimum I'd do. Chalo let's reduce it to a fortnight now and take it a step at a time!

Hi phamilyman,

What brand of wax are you using for your car. I use formula 1 or the armour all wax polish, but have never got such a nice shine. Can you outline the process that you follow along with the brand of wax that you use. Hope to follow you soon and get the same kind of shine on my car too.

Regards,
Kailash

@Kailash - You confuse two things. I normally use Formula1 - but this was outside the service center

@Anup ji - The world has changed!

@Eddy - I better don my flame retardant jacket before I type any further.

The setups i liked truly had like a good Alpine, good compos/sub/amp ie some 30k (>twice my orig budget ). Else for just regular "music in the car" - I'm actually content with the music phone playing away on the dashboard mount. And which is not being helped by this recession!

Ahh, so finally you got round to posting the review! To the point but covers the necessary details. Funnily, I always thought you had a white VDI. Is the xeta still around or got rid of it?

congrats

Congrats on ur new car

I test-drove a Vdi recently with wheel spins and fish tailing with people running for cover.

i liked the suspension, NVH.

in my opinion both Getz Cdri and S Vdis are good performers.

Getz Crdi accelerated like a MerC S Class Diesel, but Swift is a wiser purchase due to good resale.

But use wider rubber, I suggest on ur Vdi
