Sid,
you have really maintained your car very well. More details on the brand/product of the shampoo, teflon used would be very helpful. I am also have a 2007 Santro. It's a very good vehicle for the city. you can cruise in 3rd gear all day long.
@Rajesh: What mileage your A/T gives you? I was thinking about buying A/T but the dealer told "Won't give more than 10kmpl in the city and resale value is Zero once you drive out of the showroom". So went for the XO instead.

When the car completed 5 years a few months ago I evaluated a few cars and decided that I could live with my Santro for a couple more years. My car has been absolutely reliable and I have spent only on routine maintenance. Have also driven it out of the city - Blr-Pune thrice, Blr-Goa twice and dozens of trips in Coorg - and felt quite comfortable.

Yep RPG,
Its true that Santro is extremely well built & highly reliable car.

IT will easily last more than two yrs (your expectation).

So. enjoy your Santro & Dont look for another car for 2-3 yrs (plz go through the thread "keeping the car after 5yrs" by GTO!

Well it will be a wise decision for a Santro to keep for 10yrs. But I feel pity on Maruti owners!

Recently i had changed from stock ones to michelin XM 1 tubeless filled with nitrogen and very good stability at high speeds. I have touched 145 on mumbai pune express highway with Ac and 4 people the car was much stable than those on stock ones before.

3 years, 60,000 kms of living with the tall boy

When you're so far away
At the end of each day
Counting the moments till you fade away
Inside my soul
Under passion's control
Are feelings I can't find the words to explain
Just like the first time I'm helpless again
Wrap your arms around me
Let your love surround me
Make love to me now like never before
Wrap your arms around me
From the day you found me
You'll never be alone......

She's still running like a dream, with nothing else except routine maintenance.
She was hurt twice, but then she came back to life after saving my life.
Today she celebrates her 3rd birthday and has covered 60,005 km of trouble free driving by my hands.

Consistently she has been returning a mileage of 16-17 kmpl combined city-highway driving with A/C on in the battered roads of delhi.
Rock solid suspension, rattle free body.

Sure she's not as jazzy as it is supposed to be but even after 6 years, looks matured and decent.

Happy Birthday DL 7C E 6872, the silver arrow.

(PS: the phone cam pics do not do it justice!)

The silver arrow looks really immaculate sidindica but going back to your handle, thought you'd be more of an Indica lover / owner !

A really well maintained car! With that level of maintainence, I'm sure you can expect a lot more miles from her.

Nicely maintained ride you got. Me too have a silver arrow. I know what it feels to drive this wonder of a vehicle. 73.5k here and still feels the same (I'm talking mechanicaly) as it came out of showroom.

cheers
