Sorry to hear about this, but am puzzled as to why both bumpers will have to be repainted?

My sister banged the car from right front quarter while entering the parking premises, despite the fact that I told her not to drive (she is 19 and currently has a learner's licence). The right front fender got bent, bumper scratched and while reversing she again banged the wall.

Chalta hai, akhir kar meri cousin behen hi to hai.. Insurance will be claimed to minimise the repair bill. Do not ask me the estimate.

Hi sid, that was a double whammy. and you have been quick to take it for repair. I liked the work done on the door earlier, I too want to get the same done on my car. Can you please PM me the details of the workshop ? I too stay in East delhi, need to get it done.

The door work done ended up being disastrous. I took a full refund.

that guy used arctic silver of indica instead of bright silver for my Santro. My 3 days are wasted because of that POS workshop.See the first pic and the colour does not look matched.

The door still has some minor bubbles coming out. Now again the door will be repainted in Hyundai sunrise workshop.

Yes, gods have mercy on me.

A lesson learnt for the first and last time: Only minor dings can be handled by these workshops, and that too not perfectly. For major repairs, the company A.S.S. is a safer bet. And when your car is insured with a good company, why be so tense?

Whatever 2-3 maor accidents I had, I always took it to company workshop for repairs. Only for the first time I decided to give Independent workshop a chance.

For me: Kiya tha na compromise? Ab pay the price.

OT: When will I complete the 1000 mark and become a senior BHP-ian?

I can see left side being painted, and not much work on the right side. is the right tail light broken too ? also what all work is going on ? Can you please help in explaining ? So you went to Sunrise Hyundai ? I too am wary on giving these independent small workshops for such jobs, though the price they offer is quite small, but never had the confidence of giving the keys of the car to them. Only used HMP Mathura road till now, but need to find someone closer.

Are you going daily to check on the progress of your car ?

And yes, with all these scoops you are not too far from being Senior BHPian.

Till now, sunrise has done a very good repainting job. Pics just taken:

front and rear bumper repaint
whole left side paint
right fender paint
also got the bonnet done as it had also sufferd impact (though very small but all were done under insurance.)

Thats it. No taillights broken.Car will be as good as new and be ready for its second innings.

And don't worry about that Indica being repaired as it (supposedly)belongs to a company employee.

How much time it took and how much was the cost of painting. Does Insurance Company pays 100% for the paint job ( Sorry if this was too silly)

Santro turtle Waxed

Car came from workshop today morning, and purchased a small bottle of turtle wax and the results speaks for themselves.

3 year old car ran for 70,000 km. I did the polishing myself for personal satisfaction. Any other suggestions would welcome for our beater.

Waxing your car is indeed very satisfying exercise.

Hi Sid, Great to see your car back in shape.

Did you goto Sunrise at IP Ex for this ? I too need to get some jobs done on my car, but not sure of which ASC to trust. Please help.

Hi, I am also the satisfied customer of Santro Xing. Loving every moment of it , a perfect car to own & be proud of. Mine has run for 25K & will be 3 yr old in Jan 10, recently i noticed an issue, while braking the steering is vibrating & the same is for last 2-3 months, is it a matter of concern , i have my servicing done at *** mostly Sunrise, IP Extn.
