Hey Carrazy, we all know that SRV was arguably One of the Best Looking Cars ever launched in India by any manufacturer. Me and My Bro have been and even now still drool every time we have a glimpse of this Beauty........As some experts have already posted, its probably GM to blame for the extinction of this Machine which gives a run for the money to even some of the latest launches in the looks department. Please do provide some performance data as well which I would pay per view to read about!!

REALLY COOL PICS AND ONE OF THE COOLEST CARS ON INDIAN ROADS!! KEEP IT ROLLIN'...

Why not try writing a letter to the GM directly for the jerk issue?
Do let us know your driving experience
Thanks mate. I had a word with the works manager of a chevy dealership and he has forwarded my concern to GM himself. They will be calling in a technician from the manufacturer. I am expecting a call any day now.

Thanks a lot guys. This was the first time I actually took my DSLR for a ride outside my house (if you know what I mean).

Thanks for sharing this report, could also post your overall experience with the car so far, also isnt 23k too less even with hard driving for stock tyre replacement?
p.s. What the red ring in 2 of the pics?
You are welcome mate. I will be updating this thread with a detailed overall experience later. Actually the thing is that this car was bought for my younger brother when I was in the states. He drove it for like 22K kms and only 1K kms is under my name. That’s not enough for me to analyze the car to the fullest right now. So keep watching this space as I complete more miles and give you all a detailed report. Also, you are not the first one to be surprised on the tyre wear thing. Everyone (tyre dealers/ chevy employees/ friends/ family) were surprised with the kind of driving my brother did to reach this stage of baldness within 22K kms.

btw - nice car and great choice of rims. it does feel a bit slow stock, an air filter and a free flow would help immensely. also if you could get a remap then nothing like it.
Bingo with the ‘red ring’ thing. Infact the ring was there even before the editing was done. I will be upgrading the car but in a phased manner as Vitamin M is always a problem.

Some interior pics would also be welcome
Thanks buddy. Will surely post some interior pics soon.

IF the scratches are minor i guess a polishing and some rubbing compound will do the job. If they are deep you might need a paint job to get rid of it.
Thanks mate. Well most of the scratches are minor but the hood has a major scribbled scratch (vandalized) which I guess will have to be treated with a paint job.

I had the similar jerking problem in one of our maruti's long ago. It turned out to be a faulty spark plug cable that was causing a spark plug to fire a bit late resulting in the jerking!
Thanks dude. I have changed the spark plugs and the tension cables too but the problem still persists.

SRV is one car I would wanna buy.

Is there any way we could change the front look to Old Optra (like this File:Chevy optra 2004.jpg) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and SRV with Magnum diesel engine = "Teh Bestest Hot hatch"

I just saw one of these beauties yesterday, dark blue and those exact same alloys! The first thing that came to my mind was "lateral upgrading" from a zen to an optra SRV. This car is such a treat to look at, and I'm sure it's a treat to drive too. Too bad GM pricing and timing both went wrong.
