Something like the Aston Martin Rapide should be an ideal alternative.
Should fall in the same 1.5 - 2 cr bracket for a new one.

Well, I might be wrong too, and my source might be wrong too, but I trust it.

I get my information from CarWale, not trying to advertise but it's a good site, one can get new car ex showroom and on road prices calculated for any car and city, one can even check the value of ones used car if you're buying or selling a used car. I got the Aston Martin Rapide's price figure from that site.

Here is the link:

Re: Maserati Quattroporte : Where to buy?

The other car in the same segment that can be looked at is the Porsche Panamerra. The exterior does not appea o everyone but once your inside the cabin its a masterpiece nd so is the drive and handling. The dealersip (AADYA GROUP) presence does ease off the burden of maintainance in Bombay.

Try Vantage Cars, I hear they’re quite reputed in this field of business. I think bhpian ecksreturns has some history with them, try dropping him a PM.

@speedy - the panamerra, no matter how mechanically advanced it may be, the design just fails to impress us. Even though the quattroporte is older in terms of model launch and design, it still is a timeless and ageless beauty (in our eyes).

@scorcher- we did try getting in touch with Vantage cars but none of their numbers seem to be reachable.

Re: Maserati Quattroporte : Where to buy?

An Aston Martin DB9? A Jaguar XFR, XKR, XKR-S? The XFR is what you'd want if you are looking at 4 door saloons only. These *should* all be within 1-2.2 CR as they are around 60,000-110,000 pound sterling on-road in the UK. Do let me know what you think of these cars if you haven't checked them out. Their styling is just subliminal.

Just to throw it out there, how about a Nissan GTR? It isn't as classy as the Europeans, but its one incredible driving experience.

Just read an article in TopGear India December 2012. It was about the New 2013 Quattroporte, it mentioned that it was slightly bigger than the outgoing model so it can rival the BMW 7er, Merc S-Class, Audi A8, etc. as they plan to make a smaller model to directly compete with the BMW 5er, Merc E-Class, Audi A6, etc.
It is also longer in wheelbase which brings more passenger space inside, the interiors are also much better and plusher.
Now for the most important bit, they have the V8 co-developed with Ferrari and two new engines, a V6 Petrol and a V6 Diesel.
It goes on sale internationally by end 2013 so we should get it sometime in 2014.

Regards,
sanojrawap.

Re: Maserati Quattroporte : Where to buy?

There was a white Jag XFR for sale at a private dealership in South Mumbai where Sony World used to be (Marine Drive). I do not remember the name but i remember having looked at the car closely. Low mileage and price was around 60L. i think it was a 2011 model. This was 2 months ago.
