Hey guys,
Im an undergrad studying in the states and am just about to buy a new car here. Although, I am kinda confused with so many choices on offer here...Could someone suggest a car within 50k$ or so?
Right now im deciding between the Audi A5, the C-class and the new jag XF, even though the XF is kinda expensive.
Right now im favoring the A5 as i love the way that car looks, plus the interiors are top notch in quality. Any advice would be much appreciated.

here's a pic of the A5

An undergrad getting a $50K car? Thats gotta be the first!
Way to go,dude!

For that price, there are so many options. Tell us what you are looking for,in terms of power/features,and we'll take things from there.

Between the C, XF and A5, go for the A5 anyday. By the way, you are one lucky undergrad.

Guys a new M3 is around the $70k mark, so that's out of his budget.

BMWlover - Why not the 335i coupe? Stonking performance froma good looking car & within your budget too!

If you are particular about getting a coupe, then the BMW 335xi & the Audi A5 are your best bet. The Infiniti G37 is another one that could be considered.

If I had that much Id look at a used 911/Supra/M3 or a brand new EVO X. Let us know what kind of car you want and what you are going to be using it for. With that kind of budget you have a wide range of options available in the US.

thanks for the replies guys...and yea, the M3 retails for around 70K,hehe...I dont really want 335is or any BMWs cause I already drive the 325i in India and all the Beemers look and feel the same to me..(by that i mean all those under 50k)..the new M3 is godly.
I dont really want a used car, and I am pretty biased toward European cars so no infiniti/acura/lexus for me lol.
At the moment im really torn between the XF and the A5 though, as dad will buy the C-class in India anyways, and I want to drive something which wont we available in india for sometime.
oh and the most important things im looking for in a car are looks, comfort and decent performance(at least above 250hp)
wish they sold alfas here....

oh..and on a side note, a friend bought the latest M3 very recently...it was among the first in the US and he totaled it last week, the cars is tottaly unrecognizable...
he escaped with minor injuries though...still in shock about the car lol

Not a very funny incident, really!

You're too young for a Jaguar XF or an Audi A5 - they're for executives with families and hair thats just beginning to show signs of greying or vanishing.

Buy a Honda Civic Si, a VW GTI or a MAZDASPEED3 and use the remaining $25k to support your post-grad.

If you're really bent on it - then an Infiniti G Coupe, Nissan 350Z or an Audi TT.

Status or quality?

I would take a longer look at the Japanese cars, Infiniti, Lexus, Acura etc. Ask around, you will find they often out perform their German competition and their quality is first rate.

Acura TL - Type S

How about an Acura TL - Type S?
U will not feel like running around for the after market parts..
It comes with 6 Speed Manual Paddle shifters, Brembo brakes and lot more..
I personally love it, especially the Nighthawk black pearl...
