Used Parts (Instrument cluster- dials) ..?

I am hoping that memeber can shade some lights to my direction......

Even though I am in UK.... I am looking to buy the original instrument clusters (dials) from cars in India, any cars considered as we used them for development process. However where to get them? Or if anyone have them can contact me? Or anyone know the your local scrap yard may have something interesting?

The reason why I need them is because then I am make design of dials and then make them. However before I can do any of that I need the original dials to do the template. I am also to trying to find out what is the popular cars over there. I got some indication on my local newpaper it sayd the ford Ikon is a hot selling car over there? Same case for the people who modify the cars?

If anyone have numbers or leads would be great.... Although I can't speak the local language though.. would that be a problem?

Language won't be a problem, but anyone hearing your accent will be out to fleece you. On second thoughts, looking at Glasgow, I'm not sure how many people will follow your accent!!!

A lot of the cars sold here are/were sold in the UK. I could use nice EL dials for my Baleno, and I know that car was sold there...

YEP!!! When I first came to Glasgow.... I couldn't understand a word people are talking about.... Now I have been here for 10 years for my education hence have picked up the accent myself :S Don't know if that is a good or bad thing!!!!

Anyway yea thats what I do EL dials for living, hence I am trying to make them for the indian market hence need to locate the popular model and find their dials. I am considering the Hyundai Getz, Accent, Ford Ikon....etc

What other models are popular over there by the youth and modified groups?

If you're planning to make a living off the Indian market, don't. There are less than a thousand kids who can afford this sort of stuff for their cars, so the market is tiny.

Having said that, the previous generation Mitsu Lancer, the old Asian Honda City, and the Baleno and Esteem/Swift are the most popular. Honda City dials are already available, so strike that off the list actually.

Fair does... don't suppose you have a link to where the Honda city dials is available? Want to do more research to the market. Also the Mitsu Lancer I will try to find a picture of the dials on the site... if you have a link let me know, as I have some in km/h for the lancer but not sure if they are the same as the Indian domestic market version.

Any info would be appreciated

Indian Lancers...well I guess if your dials fit on the Evo V and VI, you should be good to go.

Hi,

Hhmm .. Popular cars ??

atleast here in bangalore its the zens , lancers , OHC , balenos .. Thats what u should be looking at .. Coming to think of it i dont mind the dials that come on the corrola on the zens and the balenos .. I can assure that u will have a good market in bangalore if u can come up with some quality stuff like the OE corolla dial on these other cars ..
