Nice. How are they wired? Are they automatic like the Philips or do you have a separate switch? |
Its directly connected to the park lights.

The Philips lights connect differently. They are directly wired to the battery through a sensor module and the sensor wire connects to the parking light.

Oh ok. This came with the DRLs, mounting brackets, screws and the wires. Cant ask more for 300/- lol:
I like the one's that Salbin has installed on his Beat. For $23.50, they seem like a deal.
Just trying to figure out, where to install them on the Linea.
Philips Gopure system was quoted at Rs. 9200 (MRP Rs. 12000) in Chennai. Are there any installations in Team BHP? Please elighten us if any friends are using it.
Philips DRLs(4LEDs as well as 8LED models) and GoPure systems are available at Reliance Autozone, Ambience mall, Gurgaon! :D
I inquired about the 4LED model and the price is 6k!!
I'll wait for a price drop on it lol

Have you bought anything from this site and shipped to India? I am very keen on buying one of those DRLs. Philips DRLs are exorbitantly priced.
Guys, check our classifieds section. Varun had posted an add for a nice DRLs for 1250 shipped. I had got one pair and they are of excellent build quality.

Thanks knp. I just spoke to Varun and I think I will also get this. No point in paying 8K INR for Philips DRLs.

Yes, I bought GPS from DealExtreme and using it since one year. My friends also bought same.
Philips DRL's are just way too expensive. I guess they missed the trick. Philips DRL's for around 3 or 3.5k, there would have been a lot of takers.
I too got the DRL's from DealExtreme. Thanks to Salbin who provided me the link. Paid around 23 dollars for the same. Took around 25 days to ship from HK. Have been using them for close to 2 months without any problem. Here you go. IMO, They look pretty decent for the price. :D

Would be grateful for some pictures after you have them fitted. And some while the fitting is in progress. Is it a DIY?
I got them installed thorough a local mechanic. It's pretty simple install, but make sure all the joints and wiring has been done neatly to avoid any further issues. I will try to take few pictures to post here, but you can check-out the classified section, and Varun had posted few pictures. They are very good in quality and looks decent.
