AMG Monoblock 18" or 19 " for my w140

i have been a proud owner of a 1994 Mercedes w140,it has been a great ownership experience for me,the w140 for sure talks about German build quality,it shows & proves that it is the best & last over engineered Mercedes,
my car is absolutely stock & has a great road presence, off late i was thinking of adding 18 or 19 " AMG Mononlock wheels to the car, these are perfect for the w140 as they have a lot of metal,
i have searched alot in India but in vain, there was a fellow member from Delhi who had them & it was sold before i could crack the deal,
also tried purchasing it from abroad, wheels are cheap but shipping & customs are huge,
it would be great if the members here could help me source them,
they are the mod i want to do on my w140

w140s are just great. i drove a 320 the other day. i mean,,,the windows have double glass. you are totally isolated from the outside world. the way to drive it is hit the cruise control at a decent speed and just relax!

anyway, back on topic. 19" would look really good, but finding them would be a challenge. But, where there is a will, there is a way. I have 15" mercedes alloys on my car, i think 17" would look good on a 124, keeping in mind our road conditions.

MUAHHHH! This is the only design that looks swell on the W140. If I ever buy a W140 (*prays*), she's going to ride on these wheels.

I suggest you get in touch with BHPian S600BENZ. He frequently imports Benz parts. Alternatively, I would also highly recommend buying a set off EBay UK. I know some people who've gotten their alloys this way, and the shipping + custom charges were reasonable. Be sure to get a set of 5.

Please note though, that if you get 19 inchers, the legendary W140 ride quality is toast. It's one thing to run 19s on a smooth Californian road, quite another on our pot-holed rubbish.

Umm. 18" or 19"?? Really?? Beyond 17 is not recommended on the W140. Also, If you have the moolah, please please look at Lorinser rims. For reference, look at my 1:18 Scale W140 kitted with Lorinser rims.

Re: AMG Monoblock 18" or 19 " for my w140

@ GTO i am a very safe driver & almost miss every pot hole when riding my 140 its a weekend car usually used on highways,i think 18" should do good even with the pot holes,
@ cyrus i had these lorinser wheels @ a steal from a friend in US,just 300$ but shipping & duties would be high, also i understand we cannot import used wheels,as the new amgs are more than 3500$
i know of a lorinser dealer in mumbai known as automania,bt my first prefrence is authentic AMG

Yep. My friend has the ones you want on his SL500 R129. Also, I have a friend who has a set of Brabus wheels lying around. Should I ask him about those for you? They are 18"

EDIT: yes, the Lorinser guy is Automania. His name is Rakesh Mehta.
