DRL Headlamps for VW Polo

Friend was searching for DRL incorporated headlamps for her Polo and found this from online. It would cost 17k (excluding tax and shipping). Is it worth or any better options available locally?

Will this again void warrantly if obtained thus?

Why does'nt VW offer this as optional?

There are many dealers offering projectors for Polo/Vento. Some quoted 12k for the kit (that's including your OEM headlights where they modify it). Here are some pics for reference. Some are bit overdone IMO.

Just checked the link you provided. Just like volksman asked, won't this void the warranty?
If that's not an issue, then I would suggest your friend to go for it. There look really smart and the one's available in India, look really cheap.

Hi. I am in the process of purchasing my 2011/2012 VW Polo 1.6 in India and would be interested in purchasing a couple of components from you. I need the following:

1. Headlight set with DRLs
2. LED tail light set
3. Electrically adjustable Wing mirrors with indicators (Not electrically foldable)

I noticed that the parts on your website are for the Golf. Is it the same as for the Polo? I want the parts to fit in the stock locations without the need to do any modifications. Also, are the prices mention for a set (pair) or is it per piece?

Nope. They will not. The size is different.

Were the projectors plug n play or did the hole at the back of the housing need to be cut to fit them? I am curious since if they were cut then what would VW's reaction be in terms of warranty.

Also were the headlight lenses easily removable or were they bonded to the housing using perma glue like in the Fiat Linea as posted in another thread here?

You dont need to cut the reflectors. It's just plug n play. As long as you dont cut the stock wiring, the warranty will be safe.
The headlights lenses can be sealed using silicon gel. I have done this on my Swift without any problems. Not sure what is used here.

It should fit. Nowadays most of the kits or rather, all the kits are plug n play. But the only question is the price.

That's really expensive for an aftermarket product. I know it looks really cool but pay around 15k and get a custom headlight done. Check vento/polo projector thread for ideas and details.

I agree. 45k is a lot of money for unbranded lights from China/Malaysia/Taiwan or Hong Kong. Not at all worth the money.

Please go in for something that can be done right here in India and more importantly please ensure that warranty is not voided due to the modification.

Hey guys!!

For all the VW / Skoda guys who want to make minor LED bulb modifications to their German machines but concerned about ECU errors and the likes; I came across this website and store which is located in Cochin which provides 'Error Free' LED bulbs, DRLs etc for German cars.

More importantly, Projector Headlamps with in-built DRLs for Polo also available with them.

Can anyone from Cochin help and check out this place and quality of products. Your feedback will really be appreciated.
