Do they not come with paddle shifters. Auto cars with good performance I believe have DSG's.

Corolla auto isnt even a new age tech. Its performance will certainly not be good.

don't know whether you're referring to the long race-only dragsters with jet engines or the modified cars which americans use for drag races.

the modified cars (not the dragsters) generally include Chevrolet Camaros, Dodge Chargers & Ford Mustangs - to name a few - and are V8+ powered with 300+ bhp... they may not always be automatics though a lot of the older generation Camaros & Chargers sold were automatics - only because of america's laziness problem (no one wanted to change gears - even in a drag)...

anyways, coming back to the topic - a 4-cylinder current generation automatic Toyota Corolla will not beat a manual Skoda Octavia RS unless substantially modified...
