Better headlamps for Baleno

Hi Guys,

I need to replace the headlamps for Baleno as they are very poor. I was told not to put a 90/100 as they would damage the headlamp holders. Others suggested me to go for philips crystal vision or philips diamond vision. While searching on the net i found some comparision chart of philips lights in the 55/60 category http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/iipcache/23540.jpg

As per this chart 'philips vision plus (or VisionPlus) is supposed to be the best as this is 50% more brightness and 50 longer beam. If any of you have used this 'visionplus' and found good improvement in lights please let me know.

Also let me know where can i get the geniune ones in Bangalore?

What is h4, h7 kind of specs in the lighting terminology? and what is it for Baleno

TIA.

I think the Baleno uses H4 bulbs. You can try the Philips Vision Plus. Have read good reviews about it. I personally am using the Philips Crystal Vision. I am satisfied with the lighting it provides and it adds a sweet look to the clear lens headlamps of my new esteem

I just upgraded to 100/90s on my Accent last evening. (decided against the 130/100 for the time being - let me "cook" the system with this first!) I have use GE bulbs - which have been rated as marginally better than Philips, Osram and Sylvania. Please buy yourself Bosch relays and use the thinkest possible wires to hook them up.

The philips Vision Plus will of course save the you effort of having to upgrade your wiring. They are better than stock lights for sure, but do not compare to 100/90's .

Baleno in some countries come with 90/100 as stock, so there should not be any issue using it.Meanwhile I have 100/140 in my swift..it is just more than a month old so i cannot comment on reflector fading or so... I have changed the full wiring kit and holders for this.

If you dont want to tinker around with the stock headlamps and also do not want to spend a bomb on the fog lamps then i have a suggestion.

Madan80, a member on our forum, installed a pair of Hella 550's on his palio. The hella fog's cost him around 2.5k for a pair and around 1k for fitting and wiring. Clean job done by Techocrat at Chennai. They are very bright considering they are only 55w.

Contact him. Maybe this cheaper/alternate option might actually work out for you.

P.S. The fog's were installed near the bonnet grill and not in the bumper where the fog's are placed conventionally. You might want to see his profile pic.
