This morning, I was greeted by the glorious sound of excess-boost being dumped into the Indiranagar morning-air. But when it became frequent, I got a little curious. So I stepped out of my house and took a walk, and two minutes later, I saw a convoy of cars dressed in lovely Red-Rooster-Performance livery. Glee :D
So I had to take a peek.
Red Rooster Performance has officially set-up shop just 2 minutes from my house. And today, the 21st of January 2012, they displayed an assortment of petrol and diesel cars and even offered test-drives to prospective customers and enthusiasts.
So I stepped into Ozz-One Enterprise and introduced myself to RRP big-man and fellow BHPian orangelephant. I took a couple of pictures and even experienced the crazy TD cars as a passenger (unfortunately) But it was worth it anyway.
The facility, run by Mr. Reddy, has a lot to offer.
I had the opportunity to be driven in orangelephant's turbocharged Swift. I particularly loved the loud BOV and that fruity exhaust note. Oh, and calling it fast is an understatement. It really takes off, this thing.
It was equipped with a turbo + intercooler, wastegate, etc. and other components like a performance-clutch and of course, the usual intake and exhaust mods.
But what caught my attention was this gleaming Civic. Although it's an automatic, it was absolutely brilliant. It was also equipped with a turbo + intercooler, wastegate, et al, a piggy-back ECU and a BMC CAI. Power at the wheel is something around 160 bhp and at the crank, close to 200!
The thing I liked about this Civic is that it hardly made any noise. I mean, it made just the right amount of sound. The BOV was relatively quiet, but you can still hear it. And the exhaust wasn't as loud as the Swift either. It's the perfect sleeper-car, sans the loud RRP livery of course! *winks*
There were a few other demo-cars, like a Scorpio and an Innova. But I wasn't too interested in them.

Those wheels look amiss on the Fiat 1100 though. Some period alloy wheels would have looked much much better.
Wow, so is this a shop, dealer where prospective customers can get some mods done to their cars? I went to their site and do not see any dealer or locate dealer link.
Where are they in Indiranagar, sorry cant decipher that from pictures. I am hoping my Baleno has a different future 2 years from now :)

Mayank, yup this is a shop. They also retail Methods Automotive products like Remus end-cans, Koni suspension parts, etc. But now, they have a separate counter for RRP components as well.
The shop is located off Old Madras Road, behind the Indiranagar Bus Depot. It's on the service-road that connects OMR and CMH Road. :)
Looks like RRP tied up with Ozzone or did they really take over OzzOne ? This was the same place where I kitted the baleno with a conical intake from K&N and got the 5zigen end can.

I did see a Thar getting prepped up. It had just arrived. There were two Gypsys too. These guys are off-road enthusiasts as much as they are tarmac lovers. One visit to the shop, and it's evident. *winks*
Looks fantastic...a must visit place for any petrolhead.
I'll give them a call and get an appointment. My Gypsy could use a bit more power, and mid-range, and top-end, OK power all around!

Ozz-one is just a dealer for RRP, like hot cars, and evo, and several others in mumbai, chennai, coimbatore, hydrabad and parts of kerla. The separate counter for RRP lasted only on 19th, 20th and 21st, which were also the days you could test a car in Indiranagar and get 20% off on RRP products.
Very nice shop.
Love that no nonsense Swift with serious kit. The DDiS boys beware. :D
And the stunning Gypsy along with the 1100. They have completed the modifications with great restraint. Love it.
I have been to the whitefield RRP. Need to visit this shop soon. Looking for a performance replacement filter for my MJD.

Just a small query. I am planning to get an FFE and K&N filter installed in my Lancer. Was planning to get the FFE done by Raj Higrani. How expensive will an FFE done by RRP be compared to tuners like Rajplease:

I went for an FFE for a friend' i20 at the RRP, whitefield almost a year back. They don't do the FFE and CAI alone. It is a package called Power Drive, which consist of a FFE, a BMC cold air intake and a fuel pressure regulator.
If I am not mistaken, they quoted 35K for the Power Drive package. RRP doesn't deal with K&N.
They had written a mail on the need for the fuel pressure regulator.
Quote:
Why a fuel pressure regulator?
When you install a CAI and a free flow exhaust, it is beyond the scope of the standard ECU to calibrate the right fuel pressure required for optimal air to fuel ratio. Hence we suggest an external fuel pressure regulator.
