Suggest me accessories for NHC ZX VTEC

Hi All,

Getting my NHC ZX VTEC on 31st Mar.Now shoping for accessories. Initially I will be going in for:

1> Car cover (external)
2> Car seat covers
3> Car security System.

Please help me with your suggestions and tips and also if I missed anything important (must have sort of thing) . The car is booked at Deccan Honda Pune.

Fellow TBHPian 'goldie_malhotra (Ravi)' helped me a lot while I was deciding on what car to buy.

Regards

Mahesh

Here is my list.

Must have.

1. Car Cover
2. Mats
3. Seat Covers (Honda Leather Seat Covers are too good)
4. Door Step Guard
5. Rust Proof underbody coating (preferbly 3M).
6. Horn (I dont like the original horn. It's like Luna moped horn)

Optional

1. Wood Finish Trim (Vtec comes with aluminium coated hand rests on doors
This set contains wooden gear knob, wooden hand rests
etc..)
2. Sun Film (Preferbly V-kool)
3. A Spoiler also looks cool but it is very expensive (around 15K i think)

Other accessories like music system upgrade, tyres upgrade are based on your priority.

Wish you enjoy your new ride (because it is a V-Tec).

congrats on your vtec!! another one in the family now!
well the seat covers ..i'd suggest getting this material called safina..i got them in my car..will post pictures for you..black n beige..
get mats obviously ... and the rest totally depends on what kind of interests you have..!
the stock speakers and sub is really good..so if music is'nt a big issue then dont get them changed..believe me it hurts when they rip apart your car just to put speakers..as in this car the rear seats dont get lifted up..
but yeah tell us more about what your interests are ..!
and cheers to goldie for adding another member in the vtec family..

Congragulations Mahesh4sure.

On Accessories:
1) Sun film would do lot of good. Honda guys seems to have llumar films.
I got the llumar clear film on windshield & tinted on the side & back.
They have a range of these llumar films. I choose the one which stops max heat & RTO approved (forgot the variant probably diamond series).

2) Transparent plastic/rubber floor mats (i use it on top of the fabric mat)

On seat cover...did you try sitting with & without seat covers. I found the seating more comfortable without seatcovers. May be good idea to try in one of the cars at the dealer. The extra padding may (or maynot) be little uncomfortable.

when you are done please post here the final list

2. Car seat covers : they look good, but more often than not they will be less comfortable. I think honda gxi/vtec beige seats anyway look great so no need to upgrade. even if you dont go with stanley they are expensive, check out ovion.
3. Car security : get the one with shock sensors. thieves can easily break into most of the security, get 'steering lock' and 'gear lock'.

Congrats in advance mahesh4sure!! As the CityVtec is 'fully factory fitted' for the road, suggest run the car some before going in for accessories. Happy n safe driving!
PS: Mats & sunfilm at purchase r a good idea though.
