tachometer for my zen

hey guys
was planning to pick up a tachometer for my zen from singapore.have found 3-4 shops which keep branded tachos.Mcwells, autobacs etc.now i wanted to know what do i have to keep in mind while buying a tacho.what are the accessories that i will be getting with the tacho.do different tachos have different installation procedures.since my zen is mpfi will the wiring be done via the ecu.what all do i need to say and do when i visit those shops.kindly help me out as i would like to look a little smart in front of the shopkeepers so as to prevent them from duping me.
will most probably be looking at autometer, autoguage, stri, and some more brands.
thanx in advance.

Hellspawn,it would be better if you buy it from India.
People do sell them here. Also if anything goes wrong you cant go back to singapore.
Just my opinion!

hellspawn, Tacho's do not start at 10k here, You can get them for much less.....Last i checked, one of them cool big ones with the shift light and changing colours was 6k...so basic ones should start around 3-4k

Not at all! In Delhi you can get tachometerss with shiftlights in the Rs.6k - Rs.8k range too. Personally i recommend Autogauge for their build quality and cheaper prices as compared to Autometer.

All tachos are universal, you just need to know where to tap into the rpm signal for each car. Would not recommend this as a DIY project.
